Hello,

my name is Nadine, I am new here. I write for my mom, who was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in april. She has had surgery, the tumor size was 2.3 cm, G3, no node involvement. Unfortunately, her Ki-67 was about 80%, which is really high. I am really concerned about that.I know that those fast growing tumors are more likely to respond well to chemotherapy, but on the other hand, tumors with such  high Ki-67 are known to have a poor prognosis. My question is, if there is anybody, who had such Ki-67 values too and who has survived this for a few years? I apologize for my bad English but I am neither a native speaker nor am I living in an English-speaking country. Thank you.

Mine was very high - 98%.  I am coming up on one year, so I cannot help you on personal experience. However, I have never been told that this is any sort of prognostic indicator, nor have I read that.  In fact, I have read the opposite - that it has no prognostic value.
