back from hospital!

edited June 2014 in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer

When i first came on this board I was terrified! I didnt even know what triple negative was. The support i recieved here gave such hope.Went to hospital today,surgery at two,out at three.They took one node.Didnt have to do the axillary dissection.Of course I feared the worse because of aches and pains. i still will have to do chemo,but as you all know its an agressive tumor,and so  it  has to be fought agressively.the nurse navigator said she is starting a  support group just for those of us with triple negative.Theres just not enough Known about it.THanks too all of your support!!

    Glad to hear you are positive and ready for the next step.  You are correct there is not a lot out there with regards to TN.  All the best to you as you embark on this wild ride that none of us wanted to get on but seem to have made it thru just as you will.

    There are plenty of TN on this board if you have any questions as you continue.  Seem to be some really nice folks on this board.

    Hey tres..glad you went through your surgery well!  Are you healing ok?  Feeling good?  Chemo in probably six weeks right?   The oncs want you to be as strong as you can be b-4 chemo so try to rest alot, eat well and exercise when you can...remember..that tumor is OUT of you now..as far as you know and we hope..the cancer is GONE.
