It was another hymn that I loved to hear the echo sung.
-
Hi ladies no pain so far and no pills for pain of sleeping yet. God has been so good to me. I thank you all for the prayers and only 2 more left to go of chemo Yea
-
Thank you Jo
-
JO, I have never met another person sensitive to mosquitoes. I know how worrisome that can be. So glad He protected you, and that your family is so faithful!
-
Hello Ladies,
I hope you don't mind me joining you again. I spent a few days reading all your posts. I have been touched by your words and various hymns. We serve a great and mighty God! 3jays, so sorry for the loss of your sister.
Blessings to you all
Kelly

Meece, thank you for starting this thread. I so enjoy spending time looking through the various pages of beautiful flowers, hymns and prayers. God bless you!

Welcome Kelly and Penny. We love having new people join us. I'm going to Phoenix tomorrow for a conference, but hope late one afternoon to go to the Desert Botanical Gardens. If I do, I'll try to post pictures.
Today, I was listenidng to Gaither Vocal Band today and this song made me cry. Always makes me cry to remember--It is Finished.
There's a line that is drawn through the ages
On that line stands an old rugged cross
On that cross, a battle is raging
To gain a man's soul or it's loss
On one side, march the forces of evil
All the demons, all the devils of hell
On the other, the angels of glory
And they meet on Golgotha's hill
The earth shakes with the force of the conflict
And the sun refuses to shine
For there hangs God's son, in the balance
And then through the darkness He cries
It is finished, the battle is over
It is finished, there'll be no more war
It is finished, the end of the conflict
It is finished and Jesus is Lord
Yet in my heart, the battle was still raging
Not all prisoners of war had come home
These were battlefields of my own making
I didn't know that the war had been won
Oh, but then I heard the King of the ages
Had fought all the battles for me
And that victory was mine for the claiming
And now praise His name, I am free. -
Wow, beautiful words Mary, I've never heard that one!
-
Welcome Kelly and Penny. There is room here for everyone. This place has been such a blessing to me. To be able to meet other women who are so willling to be prayer warriors for those they do not know. I know that it will be a blessing to you as well.
Mary, lovely song. The dessert has so much beauty in in. My brother and his wife work at the Sonora Dessert Museum in Tucson and they have encouraged me to add many dessert plants in my green house. Please post the pictures you take. Sunset in the dessert can be so gorgeous!
-
Hey another Kelly who spells it right!! Welcome!!! BTW my name is Kelly!!
-
Mary, beautiful words. Thank you for sharing.
-
I've been so good not to use your real name, Grace!

Matt is going to be coming home. He signed the Medical retirement papers. Yes, it is only a temporary retirement, but it means he will be nearer to me. What a relief.
-
Oh good! That is a relief!
-
So excited, Meece!!!!!! Maybe we can see him while he is here! That would be soooooooooo wonderful!!!
-
thats' great news, Meece.. it'll be so good that you'll be able to see him!!!.....3jays
-
He will be staying with us a month or so as he gets settled. Not a great economy to come out and be unemployed, but it is a new chapter in his life. God will be with him.
-
Yep! Christa got laid off from her teaching position! Terrible economy, but she got hired to teach preK at a preschool!!! She is sooooooo excited! Just trying to finish up doing all the security checks and medical stuff!!! Praying for Matt!
-
The bad thing is he had to sign the papers without really knowing what coverage he will be getting. He sort of knows how much money he will get per month. He could squeak by on it. We are so lucky that he is walking with God now, and that through this adversity, He will be with us.
-
Another Prayer out for (KK) we have not heard from her for over a week.Hope she is okay.
-
Thank God that Matt is coming home!
I, too, am SO worried about Elizabeth. Mum, do you want to drive out with me to see what's up with her? I told Sharon that we could be there in a heart-beat if we are needed/wanted....I am SO scared for her...if she got progression on her brain mets, I'm so afraid she will just give up!
-
Barbe I have wedding guests until next Friday after that sure I will even do the driving. I am very concerned as well.A road trip to Ottawa is a good idea.

Hi ladies saw OD today and all is about the same only 2 more left of chemo. We are heading to a cottage next week either hurting at home or the beach I say the beach if I have to sit on the porch all day. I am praying that maybe I won't hurt next week after chemo God willing but if I do I will get through it. Hope everyone has a great day and remember God is still on the throne.
-
Jo and everyone else who saw my post, I never did go to the bra place. I looked at the bras that I have been wearing for 7 years (not the same way for 7 years!!:) and thought, I wonder if I slit the side in this one spot, slide the boob in, and use velcro circles to secure the opening; if that would work?? Guess what!! It did!!! My bras are normally expensive, but I can find them on sale for around $18. Way cheaper than the $60 mastectomy bras, which are not made properly anyway!
-
Praying for you Lynniea!! I am with you, I say the beach! We took a trip to Kauai half way through! It was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY worth it! Enjoy yourself!
-
I PM'd KK a couple of weeks ago and she was heading to to dentist because of a broken tooth. It was holding up her chemo. I haven't heard from her since. I will pray that she is doing okay.
-
Just curious, how many of you sort of sing the words when you read the thread title? I think I do that in my mind every time I come to the garden.
-
Everytime, Meece!!!
It was my mother's favorite song!!
-
The neat thing is, we are not alone.
-
I sing them when I know the tune, but find on the ones I don't know...that a tune comes up anyway!!
KK has 'gone to ground' and we are all very concerned that her brain mets have progressed. Please pray for her.
