I have a dream
Somesort of LE GTG.....someplace cool....where we could just hang in our wraps and sleeves and just not care. Maybe Vermont, or NH or Maine, or Cape Cod. Even Upstate NY.
I just think it would be so nice just to be in our own little circle where things are normal, and trade tips and tricks. Someplace with a lake?
Maybe one of the established cancer retreat places would take us.
Maybe for 2012?

Oh, what a lovely thought! Can I have a waterfall and a library at this place?

And a huge screened in porch with a hammock overlooking the water (or better yet, no stinging or biting insects). While I am dreaming - no poison ivy and temps between 50-75 F, and low humidity too! KS1

Awesome idea cookie!!

And a handsome prince to perform our MLD while we just lay there and smile. And another one to make brownies and serve 'em to us whenever we want and we eat as many as we want and we don't gain weight. Oh, and another handsome prince to fix us our drinks and serve 'em to us. And then all those medical people who told us we don't have to worry about getting LE? THEY get to wash our bandages and roll them up nice and pretty! I think that's everything for me.

Tennessee, anyone?

Hmmm. No waterfalls, unless you count the morning shower. And it looks like it's a roll-your-own venue, too. Kane, maybe we could bring our own guilty medical folks along for the education and bandage-rolling. A few weeks of "wrap-and-roll" might do them a world of good!
Cookie, how come those great bc "retreat" opportunities aren't available for dealing with the long-term side effects? That's something worth pursuing. Great idea!
Happy dreams!

WOW! Are we having fun dreaming or what? I am two hours from Chattanooga so I vote for TN. Remember the movie Nine to Five? Dolly, Jane, and Lily held the boss hostage in a sling. It sounds as if we want to hang up our doctors that way until they cry "uncle" and agree to truly learn what LE is all about. Keep on fantasizing ladies!!
Oh I am really interested in these calorie free brownies.

there is a new retreat center in upstate where they did a breast cancer event...it's called red feather I think....it's just getting started so maybe they would be receptive to an LE retreat.
I also loved my infinite boundaries retreat, but alas LE is not really their thing. But that's a choice.
If people are really into it, maybe we can look at 2012.
