Does this mean I have basal cell bc?

I was just looking over my path report and this is what it says:

part a fails to show intact basal layers around expansile areas of atypical epithelium, supporting a diagnosis of invasive carcinoma. Part b shows similiar cytology but with intact basal cells demonstrated by caponin and myosin immunostains that support a diagnosis of DCIS over invsive carcinoma.

Does this mean I have basal cell bc or is this something totally different? I will ask my doc at my appointment on Thurs, but I kinda overlooked this part of my path report before I knew anything about basal cell.

bkj66 - I honestly couldn't tell you if that is what it means Undecided.  It almost sounds like some of the tumor was basal cell, and some wasn't.  I do know there is a sub-type of "basal-like" that is kind of in between yes and no.  Not as bad a prognosticator, but not as good.  Did you have neo-adjuvant chemo?  Maybe the first part reflects a response to the chemo?  Let me know when you hear from your doctor, as I'm curious!  I refuse to go over my own path report again, it is just too hard.

This was my initial path report from the core biopsy. Part b is the part that shows dcis, possibly covering invasive, although that was a small spot, 7mm, where the invasive part was a bit over 2 cm.

I know, I had to look, I didn't even remember this part of the path report, I just re read it and probably shouldn't have. Don't we all have basal cells that is not cancer? All this stuff confuses me, guess its why I am not a doctor! I will let you know what he says.
