Swimsuit Deal at Land's End!
I just ordered my first mastectomy suit from Land's end! It only cost $27 with free shipping! They are having pretty big sales now - with lots of different styles. I was appalled when I started looking at mastectomy suits and there were prices in the 80's, 90's and over $100---then I found Land's End carries them very reasonably!
The way I got free shipping was to Google "Lands End Promotional Codes" and I found one that offered free shipping. Clicked on it, and it applied the free shipping to my already filled out shopping cart on the Land's End site!
Just be sure you manually select "mastectomy" under style, and make sure it says that in your shopping cart (almost made that mistake) or they'll send you the regular version of the suit!
Now I just hope it fits!

Their suits are the best! I have implants but they are so darn wide they don't fit in any normal suit. I had all but given up (and shed many tears) until I went to Lands End. We have an actual store here in Atlanta and the sale was great! I was able to find 2 suits! My kids were so happy to see me in the pool this year! I love Lands End!!!

they do have great suits that really fit (I always ordered Speedos and the like).. but Land's End rocks in the swimsuit department.
(I'm not usually one to endorse products or goods)

A big plus is that you can actually return the suit if you don't like it. Too many of the mastectomy on-line stores don't allow returns on bathing suits.
I had a tankini top from Land's End that I really liked, but I gained some weight and had to go up a size. When I ordered the larger size, the cups were waaaay to big for me. I'm an A cup, and the suit will fit a C, so it's no longer an option for me.

I just ordered my first land's end mastectomy suit. What kind of breast form works best? I have amoena silicone forms, TLC microbeads, Silique ( silicone, beads and microfibre) forms.
-
I've been using the Amoena Leisure form, and it works out great. If I use a silicone form, it tends to pull that side of my suit down with the weight - same problem I have with bras. I have the Silique form, and it takes too long to dry out if you swim in it, so I wouldn't use that one. I also have a microbead form, which I tried for swimming. It tends to shift pretty easily when it's wet, so you might want to pin it in place. It might work if you pin it. The Amoena Leisure has worked best for me so far. Plus they're not that expensive. I actually just pin it into a regular suit and it works great.

I bought the Lands End tugless tank as it is fully lined. I also bought a tankini top at LL Bean on sale and cut out the shelf bra.
-
I purchased a tankini. I like it because it has a higher neck and fits close to the chest.

I've got 3 suits ordered from lands end. 2 in one size and one in another size. Hoping that one fits right. All the same style, just different colors.

Lands End does a great job with their mastectomy suits and they run great deals. I agree that some of the suits from Amoena, etc. are too exjpensive; and if you order online you have to be able to return! Lands End is great about returns.
I recently got a microbead form and have so far found it great for using in my swim suits. It's very light so it doesn't pull down the suits in the front. I even found a couple of non-mastectomy suits this year(bandau style with a center strap that ties around the neck) that it works great in. I do pin it in, and I haven't had it move yet.
Clothes can be such a problem for all of us.It's such a great feeling when you find something that works!
