Did anyone else stop all their meds? I think I took um for about 2 years. But the SE's were so bad I couldn't keep on and have any quality of life at all.

I take neurontin, but I have no problems with that.

Hi Mary .. if you're talking about AI's and Tamoxifen, yes, I quit taking them a couple of years ago.  I do take lots of other medications.

Hope all is well with you,

    Bren

I stopped my AIs. Four years after my first cancer, two years after my second. But I had fairly "quiet" cancers both times. And, I had the blessing of my oncologist.

Quality of life is a big issue. Some AIs won't affect you the way others do.

I stopped the AIs 18 months after diagnosis - I had tried two of them and I was literally bedridden - so far so good, my PCP was in agreement with quality of life - my onc. less so but has never brought up the subject again - I am presently undergoing scanxiety (onc appointment this coming Tuesday - blood markers fine, us fine, just waiting for results of CT scans) - I feel wonderful and feel like I have my life back.

    To each her own......

    Hugs, Sandy
