3jays - thoughts and prayers are with you. Remember the good memories of your sister. And know that God feels your sorrow and will NOT leave you. He understands each tear and will bring you through this valley.
-
3jays thank you so much for posting those words. My heart breaks for you and your sister, but I am so glad you were able to have that good talk last week. She understands....
When my best friend died 10 years ago, a female priest friend gave me a card with those very words on them 'her journey's just begun' and I carried that card around with me for a year in my purse. It gave me a LOT of peace...
-
May you draw closer to Him as you lean on Him during this time of sorrow. (((3jays))). He will never leave you. That poem is lovely, thanks for posting it.

3jays, your sister now knows the depth of your soul...you can be with her anytime, she is in all things around you, that amaze you and give you peace. The sunrise, the sunset the flowers and all things that feed your soul. You will never be alone. With love,
-
Not a hymn, per se, but I love the words. 3jays-I can not even imagine life without my sister, but I do know that FAITH is a powerful, wonderful, beautiful gift. Hold her close to you.
NEVER WALK ALONE
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.At the end of the storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver
Song of a lark.
Walk on through the windWalk on through the rain
Though your dreams
Be tossed and blown.Walk on
Walk onWith hope in your hearts
I And you'll never walk alone

Eph 3:12 - THAT was the song for my graduating HS class! God is always there to comfort and help us on our way!
-
Nice Joni - ineresting that the final words are pretty much the same as mine! Very cool.
-
Beautiful, Joni.
-
(((hugs and prayers 3 Jays ))) So sorry for your loss. My dear friends husband also slipped away over the weekend from Liver cancer. I will bevisiting her tomorrow.Lord give us strength.
-
Dear Heavenly Father, please be with those who have lost a loved one recently. Give them strength to display their faith that others may see this and want to find the peace that only You can give. Let them be comforted and be of comfort to others. Let us also comfort them when none of us knows what exactly we can say. Let our sisters feel our arms around their shoulders as we know You are there with Your arms around ours. Amen
-
3Jays, I sorry to hear of your loss. God is close to the brokenhearted. Praying for you and your family.
-
3jays, I'm so sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers. May your beloved sister rest in peace and may you feel the Lord's loving presence surround you during this difficult time and always.

Joni, thank you for that song. always one of my favorites, and esp. right now.
the song that Meece made as a border here first drew me to this thread, and im thinking of it all the time right now.
and, Meece, you helped me find Kelly Willards song last year; that im clinging to right now. so, i had it, when i most needed it. you all have been used of God. 3jays

Up early today have my 6th chemo today. I am on my down hill. God has everything in control. Keep me in prayer that all goes well and no pain this time. My God is able to do it.
-
Keep going Lynniea!! You can do it!!! We are praying for you!!! Don't get discouraged! With God nothing shall be impossible!!!
faithroad - I love your little saying in your signature line! amen and Amen!!!
-
You ladies have helped me so much since I started this thread. I believe that He has used this place as a place of restoration and encouragement. I think at times how I would love to meet all of you, and know that this WILL happen one day. Then, we will sing all of these songs together, in perfect harmony.
-
Thanks Grace I feel much better tonight I was a little sore when I got home and slept for about 3 hours and feel better. Had prayer last night for me at church and God is able and he did it. If it has not been for him would will I be. Thanks for all your prayers It sure helps
-
Won't that be wonderful, Meece! I would love to meet all of you, sing together, have testimony time together, and drink coffee (or tea) together!!! I know the Lord sent you specifically, Meece, to me! He knew I needed you in my life and I thank Him everyday for that!
-
We WILL meet together. Of that, I am positively sure!!
-
In the Sweet By and By
There's a land that is fairer than day,
And by faith we can see it afar;
For the Father waits over the way
To prepare us a dwelling place there.Refrain
In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore;
In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore. We shall sing on that beautiful shore
The melodious songs of the blessed;
And our spirits shall sorrow no more,
Not a sigh for the blessing of rest.Refrain
To our bountiful Father above,
We will offer our tribute of praise
For the glorious gift of His love
And the blessings that hallow our days.Refrain
Oh what days those will be, never ceasing to praise Him!
-
That hymn sings in my head!! I used to play it on the electric organ when I was young. It was one of my favourites.
