Can you go right to work from radiation? Talking about is there any effects to co-workers?  I meant to ask. Going tomorrow.

there's no effects to anyone else - once you leave the room you are fine, not radioactive. you can go straight to work, but for me the first couple of weeks of rads left me exhausted and i went home to sleep.

I worked during radiation and went straight to work afterwards.

I had external beam radiation, so there was no chance of side effects to co-workers.  I'd worked through chemo before the radiation, so everyone was aware of  what was going on -- the turbans were a definite tipoff

The only odd bit was when a top I was wearing slid over the area of the supercalvical radiation and one of the mangers asked if someone had been beating up on me.  I just told him no, it's just a radiation burn.

What you do or don't tell your co-workers is totally your decsion.   The radiation nurses should be able to answer any questions for you.  The ones I met are real gems.

     Good luck.

I worked throughout the rads, no danger to anyone.  I scheduled my appts for 4pm, then went home and did nothing.  The next morning, I was fine.

You will be tired, but the less you do in the evening, the better you will feel afterward.

    Gentle hugs, Shirlann

I scheduled my treatment in the morning, went to work, and then right after work went to the gym to work out, swim, cycle, lift weights.  I wanted to keep my muscles limber and I very much wanted to stay fit.  I did experience radiation fatigue.  Naps and resting did not help, but the exercise made me feel alive and added to my sense of well-being.  Resting was frustrating and a waste of time, but that's just my personality.  You'll know what you need.  Good luck to you.
