He is a cutie isn't he.  He would be a great 'boy toy' to have around.

I love raw food/feremented foods that are live and active, restoring beneficial bacteria, eliminating toxins and maintaining a healthy inner eco system. I consume about 80% raw food...most of which I grow. I have vegie smoothies ready for my boys when they get home from school...with around 12 different vegies, and microalgaes before school.

First thing in the morning I take my microalgae's with high grade biological sulphur and its companion nutrient vitamin C (I use rose hip). It's my rocket fuel, and kept me full of energy during rads.

I seldom eat meat......but damn that souvla was to die for over Easter. I made spanakopita for din-dins tonight with Greek salad...and moussaka is on the menu for the weekend. Although organic fresh produce is in abundance in my home, there are just some things I won't give up...nor deprive my family of.

But I definitely give raw food a major thumbs.

    SusanK8,

My doc has me on a low carb anti-cancer diet. What can you eat raw that doesn't have many carbs? Do you grow your own wheatgrass?

    Hey Luan, I am here!

It's awesome to read all the posts on healthy eating habits. It's been 9 days of cleansing for me. A medical food shake ( from my ND) 2 x's a day. No gluten or meat, caffeine, tons of veggies, most fruits and I feel great! First few days were cruel with no coffee lol!

My liver, kidney will be clean! Heavy metals out...ready for treatment. Starting my preventative BC program next week ;)

    Very excited.

Hey Corian, glad to hear you're doing great !

Susan, I was thinking the Vita-Mix machine is way too pricey for me, but there are other models that basically do the same thing but cheaper, a dehydrator is a real good idea too.

"Vita-Mix is the fastest, easiest, most powerful blender ever created for home use and performs like no other blender. A workhorse in the kitchen, Vita-Mix purées and blends quicker and smoother than any blender or food processor".  BPA-Free Container.

Price has really gone down, it used to be approx. 1 K  Laughing

I have the juicer but I hate to waste all that good fiber....

Hey ladies, keep swinging those hips !!

I tried powdered wheatgrass and couldn't stomach it. Then I tried the wheat/barley grass combo...and almost vomited. Then I had a biodynamic organic wheatgrass shot at a Boost Juice bar and I felt just fine. It's amazingly refreshing. So now I have four trays currently growing at home which I purchase from a friends business...and the rain does the rest. I either put it straight in a green smoothie or I juice it with my Oscar cold press juicer which retains all the enzymes, vitamins and minerals.

When I'm out and about I purchase a shot at a measly cost of $3 buckaroos. Well worth it because you literally have to cut half a tray worth of WG to get such a small amount.

    Have a fun weekend ladies...xoxo

Germany steps up hunt for deadly E.coli source

(Reuters) - Racing to curb the spread of a killer food bug, Germany set up a task force on Friday to hunt down the source of a highly toxic strain of E.coli that has killed 19 people and sounded alarms around the world.

Asschercut, Hello !, you say:  "First thing in the morning I take my microalgae's with high grade biological sulphur and its companion nutrient vitamin C (I use rose hip). It's my rocket fuel, and kept me full of energy during rads."

Is the microalgae in a supplement ?  I found different algae species dried and crushed not to a pulp, but rather like flakes, and try to add it to soups, etc. but it's not the same as microalgae, do you mean Spirulina or the phytoplankton ?  Also what do you take bio. sulphur for ?  I'm all for rosehip as Vit. C source, harder to find these days.

Susan, the cutie rebounds, I think I'm in looooooove !!!!

THIS is the guy I was looking for:  The Health Master will take carrots, beets, cabbage and turn into smoothies.  "The Healthmaster is not a typical blender. This unit is designed to do 31 kitchen jobs in one*. The Healthmaster will make everything from hot soups to cold ice cream in one step." Retails for $199 at Home Depot

You know I've always been the kind of gal to buy the right tool for the job.  I've killed mixers and blenders, until I discovered the importance of metal gears.  I'm all for buying a juicer, dehdrator, food processor etc as I love to cook...but the one thing that pisses me off is that now when I look at a blender, I'm thinking how much will it do for my healthy eating, when I used to look at it and think...Will this do well to crush ice for margarita's or pina coladas?

I am looking at the Vita Mix.  Currently using the Bullet and ready to move up.  I don't normally trust on line review sites, but most seem to give the Vita Mix a good score.  Any thoughts?

Pip, I say, if you can afford it, GO FOR IT !  I was surprised when doing that research yesterday by how much its price came down.  I've been wanting one for a long long time, but it was 1 K then !

Do you have the new Big Bullet, 20-piece or more, that also juices ?

A friend of mine got a Vitamix years ago, and it's a fabulous machine. Wish I'd bought one then, when they were only 500 bucks. Not sure what they are now. Might find a good used or refurb'd one on ebay or craigslist.

My SiL's mother has a VitaMix -- it's over 50 years old and still works!  Those were the days before built-in obsolescence.....

We have the small Bullet.  Works great but only does enough for one serving at a time.

I have heard that the Vita Mix is very durable.  I have seen them advertised here (Canada) for $400-$500.

Watching Dr Oz today I now want a SleepPhone too!  I sleep with earphones on but the are very uncomfortable.  So far, I haven't been able to find them in Ontario.

Pip, i,m looking at ure dx and it,s somehow similar to mine and u got FEC. Not familiar, i assume that was ure protocol? I have to wonder why the onc went overkill on me with TAC :(

Luan,  re tx....I only know that they constantly change the protocols.  My friend who was dx 10 months before me was on 6 rounds of FEC50 and Taxotere giving at the same time.  I was given 3 rounds of FEC100 followed by 3 rounds of Ducotaxol.  They also vary the dosage of the chemo to fit your size and dx.  So it is really hard to compare.  I guess it is good that things keep changing as it suggests that they are actually responding to the most recent data available to them.

http://www.sleepphones.com/ Here is the link to the SleepPhones.  I haven't found where they are available in Canada.  I would order them from the States but I want to know what the brokerage fees will be first.

Pip, many many thanks sweetie ! in Winnipeg ! http://www.sleepphones.com/resellers

I wasn't clear whether you had had taxol.  About my dx, I just have the feeling that they went for the overkill  Frown as I've read that Adryamicin is nul in ER\PR + and with its heart damaging SE, I really don't know what the onco was thinking. Will have to ask him, but you know how they are here in Cnda, all divas......
