    Julia

We have a winter home about 30 minutes from Scottsdale in a town called Anthem. Right off 17. Would love to get together if you are in AZ next winter. I have extra sleeping for 2 if any of the ladies want to join us.

Okay pearly girls, it's starting to sound like another get together in Arizona this winter.  If we can keep planning these get togethers, we may never stay home!

I have to share.  One of the ladies was venting because some stupid person was comparing cancer to pregnancy?! "Are you kidding me?! If someone says that to me, I'm going to reply, "The Village called and they miss their idiot and want you back!"   I don't know why I find this so funny, but I am laughing myself silly.  Boy I could have used this line a few times this past year!

SKD-  That is so wonderful !!!!!!!!!!!  One year !  I am soo soo happy for you !  I too am looking for ways to tame my chemo curl.  The humidity is doing quite a number on my two inches of hair.  I'll let you know if I get any answers.

Chey-  You are the best.  Keep that silliness going.  Your brother in law and dear sister need it.

Julia-  I am so sorry about the continued troubles.  As Bon said cancer is the gift that keeps on giving.

My daughter went on her first date and we all survived the experience !  My spies tell me they held hands but did not kiss.  She will tell me nothing about her thoughts or feelings or even if they will go out again.  I am trying to take a chill pill.  It's not working.

Have had lots of company this weekend and finally blessed with summer weather.  Enjoy your Memorial Day !

Years ago,I heard a famous women pretty blond, i cant remember her name, (she was married to John Stamos.) on a reality show talking to Melissa Rivers (Joan rivers daughter) they were both talking about their breast implants. and the blond was babbling on about her fake boob got an infection, and it was painful, she said they removed the implant for a couple weeks to clear it up,so she was smaller on one side. This dum ass bimbo on a network channel, said "now i know how women with breast cancer feel!!! "stupid B, I was sooooo pissed, the network showed this as well!! how dare her!!!

    Hi My Peeps,

Hope this finds everyone doing well.  Hope you had a fabulous Memorial Day.  I am exhausted from relaxing Wink  Bone Scan tomorrow.  Don't expect them to find anything to worry about but I am wearing my pearls for good luck!

Have a great week and I will let you know the scan results when I have them.

    Hugs all around!

Jackie...fingers and toes crossed for your 'clean bill of health'!

Hoping that the bone scan comes out clean tomorrow and you can just enjoy wearing your pearls because YOU MADE IT!!! Last June we were all on very different mindsets than we are now, one year into the whole production of bc survival! May we all live long and prosper, in our pearls of course!

Thanks Ladies!  I did wear my pearls.  It was like having you all right there.  The team that did my scan was great!  They let me watch the monitor for most of it.  I have no idea what I was looking at but I can tell you I make a good skeleton. Cool They said my onc would have the results in 24 - 48 hours.  Thanks for all the prayers.  I know it is all going to be good!

Ok update - Onc called.  Bone scan did show an "uptake" on a couple ribs.  Next step - CT scan. Onc was very upbeat and told me he is still convinced a lot of this is from the surgeries but feels we need to do the next step.  I will let you know when I hear about the CT scan.  Keep those prayers coming!

Chey-  That is great great news !  Rick's good news is next.  A pearl and a prayer for these two guys in your life.

Please keep a coworker of mine in your prayers.  She had a double mastectomy because of BC about 2 years ago.  Happily she didn't need any further treatment.  Now her husband has brain cancer.  Two hospitals say it's aggressive and two say it's not (we all know about pathology reports).  Anyway the tumour is growing and he starts radiation tomorrow.  She has two young school age kids and a cloudy future.

Joan...So sorry for your coworker and her husband having to deal with brain cancer. CANCER SUCKS!!! Scream it loud....CANCER SUCKS!!!  So does kidney disease (hope Uncle Rick gets a transplant soon) and liver disease (my mani/pedi gal died last Tuesday from liver failure, most probably associated with either fumes or Tylenol) and every other disorder or condition that takes away a vital existence.  My prayers are for peace and renewed health for everyone.

Today was my Herceptin IV #17.  One more infusion to go and I'll be done with the tx.  Hope soon to be done with the SEs, too.

Love and prayers for all.   Bon

Jackie, thinking about you all day.  Praying for good results.  Shawdows GO AWAY

Joan, praying for your coworker.  Too many sad stories these days.

    Love and Blessings, Mimi

We have been hit so hard, I don't understand, grandma, mom, barbie me and now Rick, tho I'm alive, I hurt for her she spent 8 months taking care of me, and just getting back to normal life, and now she loses him. I keep thinking that we have no one above us to look to,like parents grandparents, aunts uncle, you know, I'm on my way now but I can't stop crying and hurting for her! She does not deserve this.. how do her and I make it through? What do we do, we r way too young to have no family.. we were always so close, my mom was a nurse, Rick was a deputy sheriff, his only job ever, my sis trains horses, barbie owned a craft store in australia, both my grandparents woked for GD,they built missle parts way back then. At 1:13 am pct,on this second day of June Detective Richard Bankie passed away, he was my little sister husband, the father of Justin,he treated the three of us like gold! He gave his wife to me,so she could be my sister and rock through this past year, never a complaint, my first Monday with no chemo, sister came to spend it with me,in her suitcase we found a gift certificate, pedicures and manicures for my sis and I.. what a neat thing for him to do for us on my first week done with chemo. I love you so much Rick and will miss you!!

Chey so sorry for your loss. I am sending positive vibes for you and your sister during your time of grief. I have never head much family but when my dad passed it felt like i was totally alone in the world. But i found out that my sister and my husband and good friends even strangers that later became friends were there for me. So no one is really alone in this world.

    Hi All,

CT scan results are in today and I feel like we are chasing a moving target.  Three area's of concern but no "definitive indication of metases".  Ribs are definitely showing lesions but they are questioning whether it is result of rads from orig DX or possible fracture.  I don't know any accident or indication of fracture but suppose it could be possible.  Second area of concern of three nodules on lung but all are below 10mm ( I have a 3mm, 7 mm & 9 mm).  Per onc - if I didn't have history of BC these would not be such a concern.  (No kidding!) Final area is a 6mm internal mammary lymph on the left side.  Never checked lymph nodes on the left side because the two tumors in that breast we "pre-cancer".  All the lymph nodes removed were axillary.

So, at this point recommendation is to repeat CT in (3) months.  In the meantime, Onc is going to see me once a month to see if symptoms change.

So for now, I wait.  I can't thank you all enough for the information and support!  You are truly amazing.  Thanks!

    Jackie

Oh, Jackie...will it never end?  So sorry that you are in cancer limbo now.  The news you got isn't great but it isn't the worst either...still worrisome. Waiting and seeing what happens next.  That's what limbo is...not just a dance. OK,  so we wait with you. We have been together through it all so far and we'll be here for you through whatever comes next, good and bad.  The joys and the sadness...we are family now.
