Tanya01, so sorry you are going through this. I am 41. I was diagnosed 8 weeks ago. It sucks but you will be ok. You are young and healthy. I had a doctor tell me this when I expressed anxiety about starting chemo. The irony was amazing! You will probably feel less anxious after your 1st chemo.
There is a site dedicated to young breast cancer survivors; Young Survivor's Coalition. Here's the link:

Hang in there! -

Hi Tanya,
I'm 31 DX at 30 (last July). Had lumpectomy, 3x FEC and 9 x Taxol and just finish 5 weeks of radiation on 12th May. I'm currently on Tamoxifen and doing ok. It will get easier, for me I find it really hard before start a new treatment, the unknown are just killing me. But when the treatment start it actually not that bad at all. I had work and keep exercise throughout chemo and radiation.

Hi, so sorry about your diagnosis. I was 23 when I was diagnosed. (last year) I'm still getting herceptan once a month. I have 8 treatments, surgery, started herceptan, started radiation (35 treatments), and will be able to start reconstruction after November. Was recently on Tamoxifen, but I started my period and it's been HEAVY for three days straight now, going tomorrow for a biopsy down there, I have multiple cysts on my ovaries. Hoping for the best!!!! But please anytime you need to talk, vent, or cry I'M HERE!!! I haven't found anyone around where I live that's close to my age fighting the same fight I am....so know i'm here!!!
