Look I hate to criticize especially at the top of a new page; I know it's not my president and I don't want to cause offence or international umbrage..... But wait, that picture, otter.... your leader seems to have a extra right hand rather near his left pocket. Not the white glove, the normal one. (maybe his righthand man is hiding just behind him??) I suppose it makes up for the good lady being one down on her left.. but we will cut her some slack, she went through a lot and still looks lovely. . Or is this a photoshop disaster?

@lago, long fingers are elegant :)

Good morning all, I usually wear low compression sleeve and gauntlet during the day for mild LE. I just bought a glove for flying . It feels really snug and like its cutting off circulation to my fingertips. Is that how its supposed to feel initially?thanks..

Randi it does feel that way initially. It will loosen up. I actually remember when I first got both my gloves and sleeves (for preventative. Didn't have LE at that point). I really thought the gal was nuts it seemed so tight. I never thought I could be wearing this every day, all day. I do now!

Thanks Lago! I actually feel better when I have sleeve and gaunlet on,I just wasnt sure about glove which I will wear when flying as it is higher compression and I seem to do well with less.Enjoy your day!

Randi, they do feel tight at first, but your fingertips should NOT be cold or blue, white, red, purple, or any other unhealthy shade. They will loosen a bit, but not enough to compensate for that kind of problem. If you're flying and the circulation is already compromised it's going to cause you grief on the plane. Well worth the effort to get it right!

    Be well,
    Binney

A scowl is one thing I DON'T have to practice and that's for sure!  Soon as I post this, I'm digging out my old riding gloves.  As I recall, they were pretty tight.  I have summer ones that are (were) cool.

Kane, we're clearing out our house, so my daughter called up to the barn owner who took such wonderful care of our old Appy and asked if she wanted all our left ove horse gear--jackets, helmuts, brushes--I already gave her my tack, and she told my daughter that she just got hone from having a mastectomy!!!

So, I left her a message to take it easy--she used to clean off the walls of our horse's stall, because he pooped on them.

    Too many women with bc.

The riding gloves made me think of them, because I had good leather ones, and they must be at the bottom of the tack box.

I'll go see her tomorrow, if she's up for it, and check how she's doing.

Oh boy, Kira, sorry to hear about your barn manager.  I'm sure once you console her, you will get her started on what she had to do to avoid LE.  Now, girl, are YOU doing too much?

    Kane, probably Embarassed.

Trying not to totally get caught up in the pressure and remember my limitations. My dh is doing most of the heavy lifting, but it's hard not to get swept along in the hysteria.

Seriously, the neighbors are all coming over to tell us how hard it is to sell, yet the across the street ones sold their house quickly and panicked about moving and pulled out of the deal. Just what I need, when I'm disrupting my life totally--so dh can pursue his dream of a view--is to get everyone's unsolicited advice. Kind of like LE.

I don't want to overly upset the barn manager, but she really needs to know that cleaning stalls is not in her immediate future. She had a wild and crazy horse, that was too much for her, and I hope she's not expecting to ride the maniac any time soon.

I had a patient push my buttons this week: she works in a clinical capacity, and we know coworkers in common and she's very educated but she's obsessive about exercising, and wants to get hot stone massages and push the limits, and I gave her the LE risk reduction info, and she said "Why should I care?" and I never, ever tell patients my personal stuff, but I said "Because I only had three nodes out and I got LE, and see this glove, I wear it every day." Shocked her. I just got so fed up with her giving me grief about why she should be careful. Another boundary broken, but she was so sure that she was immune to LE...
