I few weeks ago I went to my Onco's office to get my monthly CBC's tumor markers etc. I got my results back and my WBC count was 2.7, gran 1.2 and platelets were down to 142.  The month before everything was in normal range. My tumor markers are fine >22, and my Dr does not seem concerned. Am I worring about nothing? Can your blood counts drop from month to month? Oh and my red blood cells and Hemoglobin were in normal range. Any insite would be greatly appreciated.

I'm over a year out from chemo and this still happens to me.  I think our bodies just really take a long time to "get back in the groove."

Weety, the month before everything was fine. Once I stopped chemo, all my blood counts went back to normal. OK, I'm glad you told me this. Thank you!

Hi Sanbar, I've been out of chemo for a little over 6 months now and just had complete blood work done and my WBC is a little low too.  I was surprised, but my ND said it's pretty normal and we can get it back up (I had to talk to her about it since my regular doc ordered the tests and their office called for me to come and pick up the results.....without discussing them).  She told me not to be shocked if my body was out of whack in a bunch of areas, but most everything was back to normal which is great.  And I feel normal too and am not going to worry about it too much.
