    DX'd 11/2010, HER2 +, Stage 3 C, 2 tumors, 14/28 lymph nodes

I just re-found this site, and really appreciated the positive responses to the original  message. My yearly mammogams gave no advance warning to my discovering in Nov. 2010, that I had the very aggressive breast cancer(infitrating ductal) Her2 +, ER/PR +, stage 3C. On Dec. 3, 2010, I had a bilateral mastectomy and 28 lympth nodes removed from my right side. My right breast had 2 tumors (1.5 cm. and 1.7 cm) and 14 of the 28 nodes tested positive. On Jan. 5,  I started my adjuvant chemotherapy treatment including Carboplatin, Taxotere, and Herceptin. This was to be given every 3 weeks for 5 months, but too many side effects hit me- including the negstive effect of the Taxotere and the steroids on my eye pressure and vision. My Doctor reevaluated and changed the Taxotere to Taxol, and had me go on a lesser dosage with the infusions every week.  June 15 is my last chemo. YEA! I'll get a 2-3 week rest, then start daily radiation for 5 weeks. I will continue after that with a Herceptin infusion every 3 weeks for a year. I have tried to glean as much information as I can about Her2 + amd it's prognosis. I read the book HER-2, on the research and bought the DVD "Living Proof" on the story of Herceptin, I'm hoping to gain more strength and insight thru fellow posts.
