Love John Rich.  I was worried with the problems he encountered at the show but he was so consistent throughout the season.  I thought Marlee's ad was very amateur and the can was so-so. However, she did pull the event together with good results.  But how can the Globe Trotters (who I think are great entertainers) stack up against Def Leppard!  Too bad Marlee didn't get Meatloaf to sing a song or two before introducing the Globe Trotters.  That would have been so 'cool'.

pip - if only Marlee could have had the benefit of our wisdom, right? We could have fixed those cans and have Meatloaf - a quintessential 70's rocker for crying out loud - perform before the Harlem Globetrotters came out! It would have been a solid knockout! Wait....the commercial needed some tweaking...oh, well. If I was there I would have loved the opportunity to see Meatloaf sing "Paradise By The Dashboard Light" or "Bat Out Of Hell". She missed the boat with that one!

We felt that we missed a whole show!! Survivor was 2 hours last Sunday and Apprentice wasn't on. So we pvr'd the last show of Apprentice, but all of a sudden they were down to the two! Did they do that in the 2 hour special THEY had a couple of weeks ago and we forgot??? Undecided Like, I don't remember Lil John being voted off and who was left with Marlee?

I lost some respect for Marlee as she made it about HER. John Rich was always about the children, I think he deserved to win. I cried. We had just spent 5 hours with our 3 little grandsons and felt so blessed so the emotions took me over the top.

Barbe, the week before they had the interviews to decide which two of the remaining four would be in the finale.  Lil John basically bowed out with the responses he gave.  Meatloaf's tempermental history took him down.

John Rich got to choose his first team member while Marlee chose between Def Leppard/98's  or the Globe Trotters/70's theme.  I think Starr was the last person chosen.  Ahhhhhh...

I wanted to add that I agree that Marlee seemed to have more of her own self esteem wrapped up in the task than being about the charity.

I watched the reruns last weekend and John by far was the best leader. The fight between the girls just didn't sit well with me even though Marlee stayed out of it, but she didn't ever try to stop them. I have tremendous respect for Marlee but I wonder if she knew everything that went on.

I loved the way they bridged the two leaders together by John singing & Marlee signing.  That was totally cool!

Marlee just wasn't a very good project manager.  She let Meatloaf take over the last two projects.  She did finally step up toward the end of the last project.  While Marlee pleaded her case for deaf childern which is a worthy cause, John won it by saying his charity saves children's lives.

I think the best person won. NJ
