Moving to Stage IV
Well, knew this would happen but I was so hoping I was wrong!
Diagnosed STAGE IV in May 2011. So far all I know is I have some mets to the vertabra. I was having some pain and I attributed it to a bad back until I realized the type of discomfort was different. I am starting radiation within a few days so that should zap the heck out of those little buggers....Still waiting to hear about other scans, HOPING the scans do not show it is elsewhere!
Stage III girls (and all others) stay diligent with your check-ups etc..... My pain was not constant but WAS worsening. I always will HOPE and PRAY you DO NOT change stages.
I am getting my fight mode back and moving toward kicking some serious butt.... So look out cancer!!!!

Susie,
I am so sorry to hear about your change, but you are so courageous and hopeful that I know you are going to seriously kick cancer's butt! Thank you so much for reminding us to stay diligent.
Hugs

Aw, Susie, that's so distressing to hear. I hope your onc is aggressive and knocks it back to NED quickly.
My next onc apointment is 6/14, and I have a few things to discuss about pain and symptoms. We have to ask or they won't think there's anything wrong. All they have to go on are our "numbers" from bloodwork and our complaints, until they order scans based on those.
How did your onc find yours? -
I started having increased pain and I was told to go to ER by head of Onc. dept. If I had not mentioned that I was having shortness of breath when I arrived there I really don't think a CT and later that evening an MRI would have been ordered. I had been having a throbbing in my back that I assumed was from other things, started just ever so slightly at night when I would go to bed, then began to happen in day time.
I have a bad back so though at first it was a bad mattress, its just my bad back, not enough lumbar support in chairs......., LOL boy was I ever WRONG! ......my hubby reminded me I could not find anywhere that was comfortable!
Just glad they found it............and that I am getting my spunk back

Susie, we are all here for you still in stage 3. A little number doesn't change that. Sending you lots of love!
-
Susie, I'm so sorry. I hear that fighting spirit loud and clear through your post, however...you can do it. We are all behind you! You're on my prayer list...and the image of "zapping" the buggers is a good one.

I'm so sorry. With SEs from our meds and just trying to keep active it's so hard to know when to cry "wolf". I'm glad that you did and didn't just to try woman-up. I hope those beams knock it down to nothing!
