pelvis fractures but normal tumor markers

Can anyone help?  I am undergoing tests following pelvis fractures without trauma.  My tumor markers are normal but I am worried of bone mets... Could also be osteoporosis causing stress fractures.  Had first breast cancer in 2002 and recurrence in 2006.  Am Her-2 positive but received Herceptin in 2006.  Have you ever heard of bone mets even though markers were normal?

    Sylvie, I so much hope this is not mets! gosh, this disease is weird, has us telling someone, "I hope you have osteoporosis" and they say, "Thanks, me too".

    Unfortunately I have to be honest and tell you that I have bone mets and normal tumor markers. I only have one tumor, in my sacrum, and I'm responding well to treatment. Tumor markers are apparently not reliable for everyone. The markers were normal even before treatment.

    I so much hope the test results don't show mets.

    Dear Leah, many thanks for your quick response.  It is what I suspected.. but feared.. A few days more to wait for the MRI and bone biopsy.  What treatements are you on?

    Oh, Sylvie, I'm so sorry to hear that.

    I'm on Femara (aromatase inhibitor) and Aredia (bisphosphonate) and the SE's are very tolerable.

    The fear - that's something else.
