hi, 2 week ago my oncologist ordered a chest x ray due to breastbone pain, they have seen something abnormal and they are sending me for ct scan and bone scan. i was asked if had had a recent chest infection but i have not. really worried and scared. hugs

    Dawn, deep breaths girl....slowly in and out. Yes I know, easy to say, hard to do but please, give it a try.  Your onc is being very cautious and this is a good thing.  A chest xray does not show everything and that is probably why the other scans have been ordered.  I know I have had un-dx's chest infections that have shown up on exray but not clearly so I have had the same thing....a whole round of scans that shown just that.   I know it's all too easy to think the worst when you have BC...but not all things are the worst.  Good luck with your results and I'm sending good thoughts your way.

    thank you, my scans are booked in for Wednesday, im trying really hard to not show my fear in front of my husband and daughters, I have not told my daughters so as not to worry them. Would i expect to have any symptoms because i dont have any. hugs

    ct scan on friday, waiting for results from bone scan, just seems to be taking along time.

    Hi, bone scan came back clear, ct scan tomorrow. x ray shows a 1.5cm suspicious shadow on left lung so hoping for good news, thank you for your support. hugs

    Whew, one down a few to go.  Good news on the bone scan and I hope that the shadow is just that, a shadow.
