Just diagnosed IDC &Histiocytoid Lobular. Scared!! Anyone else?

Hi,

My biopsy said tubololobular which I was told was good however my path report says IDC and Histiocytoid Lobular along with DCIS. My BS (who is amazing) didn't mention it but I read it on the report the next day. She says it doesn't mean anything however I am totally freaked out. Any others on here?!!

    Sorry you're going through this. The path reports can be hard to understand and therefore scary. Can you meet with your BS again (or anyone else on her staff) to get clarification?  My BS's office has a "nurse educator" (other places have "nurse navigators") and they should have the medical background to answer these questions.  Mine was happy to answer questions over the phone, too.     I was diagnosed yesterday with IDC grade 2 and DCIS. I kind of lost whatever else my surgeon was telling me after she said the word cancer, so I'm not sure of all the details, just that I will be having surgery ASAP.

    I wish now that I had asked for a copy of the report.
