Swim forms?
As summer approaches, I am trying to find out what others are doing while swimming. I do not want to spend a lot of a waterproof form, but would like something to put in a swim top..once I find one of those..just looking for suggestions..

I bought an Amoena swim form. I think I paid around $100 for it. Maybe more than you want to spend, but I figured it was a one time purchase so I didn't mind.

My fitter keeps telling me I can use my regular form in my bathing suit, but I find it too heavy for use in my suits. With my particular "shape" they cause the suit to pull away from my chest and expose more of my "absence of cleavage" than I would like.. I have been using a lighter cheaper form filled with some kind of polyfil that has a weight in it. I have to replace them frequently because the filling compresses over time and the form gets smaller. I just got a microbead form that they say you can use for swim. It cost around $40 from TLC catalog, but I had to order and return a couple of times to get the right size. Very light and looks good in my suits, but I haven't gotten it wet yet. Lots of women have succes with using a simple shower puff, but I haven't tried that yet. Good luck to you! I hope you find something that works well for you!

I am not talented enough to use the shower puff thing. I actually bought a couple but for the life of me, could not make it. I like my swim form I bought, though. One other thing I might mention, I bought some swim bras to wear under my suit. They look kind of like a sports bra. I got a couple of black ones. They do show, but it looks just fine as my suit is mostly black. As a result, I can wear regular suits and not just mastectomy suits. The link shows you a picture of it. Very comfortable.

I used the Amoena swim form too, I have had it ten years now and it still works

I originally bought an Amoena swim form. Then I bought the microbead form from TLC for regular use and I LOVE it! We were going on a cruise and I saw that it can get wet and be used as a swim form, so I bought a second one so I would have one dry and one wet all the time. I love, love, love them!! They are so lightweight. You barely remember they are there! My silicone swim form is big and bulky and heavy.
And an added benefit of the microbead form is that you can pin it in a swimsuit, so you can buy a regular swimsuit instead of a mastectomy suit and just safety pin the form on. I have to be careful that the regular suits cover all my lovely scars, but otherwise- they work just fine.
