Dancing with the Stars

This has been a crazy season. I am also glad that she's off the show. no more diva drama.

I thought the same thing about Kirstie's purple tutu when I saw it Monday night. My thoughts were 'what were they thinking?!' What larger sized lady would want all that fluff around her hips and thighs? It is like they are trying to hide something. When they did the group dance Monday, her fringe skirt seemed to be longer than the other ladys fringe skirts.

I noticed the longer fringe too and thought....good for her....I wouln't want my fat thighs showing either....it is ok to be a little modest on the show. I really like Kirstie's entertainment factor and hope she sticks around. But, all the ones remaining are good, so it will be hard to see any of them go. Funny for a season that started with the media saying "no real stars to DWTS" it has turned into a really good competition.
-
I'm enjoying this season. I love Kirstie but I think it will be between her and Romeo next week and I like him too. I think Chelsie, Hines & Ralph (if he dances well) are the frontrunners. It should be interesting on Monday...can't wait!
-
I didn't speak clearly, I did like the longer fringe skirt but the tutu that was so full just made her hips/thighs look that much bigger.
I too love watching Kirstie and some of her entertainment factor but I don't hold much hope for her to make it through this week.

Kirstie concerns me with how exhausted she seems after the dances. I am concerned that her weight and trying to do all the dancing could affect her heart. I do hope they test her to make sure she is physically able to keep going. She is trying so hard and seems to have a lot of fans backing her but can her health take it?
-
Good observation on Kirstie, although, they all seems to breathing pretty hard at the end. I would hope they have good medical review there so they all stay as healthy as possible.
-
Kirstie reminds me of Marie Osmond before she passed out. I keep thinking the same will happen to her. She is doing so much better than I ever thought she would. The tutu was so weird...not sure I get it. This is turning out to be a good season.

What a great night!!!!
-
It was a great night, full of entertainment and excitement. Don't know who will be voted off tomorrow, it is anyone's guess.

I kind of wish Ralph would get the hook. It was really hard to watch him dance in that much pain, and the final weeks of the competition are so grueling...
Kirstie is looking amazing. I remember when Kelly Osbourne was on and the transformation she made...it really is fun to watch! Kirstie did awesome today, IMO.
All the others were great to watch tonight as well. Although the "insta-dance" really didn't have the same magic of last season.
-
I agree the "insta-dance" didn't have the same impact. I hear you about Ralph. I was nervous for him but do appreciate his determination. This is one tight competition...no telling who will go home tomorrow.
-
Love Hines.
-
Yeap, I like Ralph but he has not been the strongest dancer and now has an injury that will prevent him from performing to his full potential. Doc did say it would get better in a few days so maybe he can bounce back.....I hope. Hines has been the strongest dancer from the beginning. I think he may be the winner this season. But, let's not write off Chelsea yet. She is a great dancer. I hope Mark allows her to continue to shine. Overall, I think this is one of the best seasons because they all seem to be at about the same level. JMO
-
I agree about Kirsty and her breathing...makes me a little nervous too.
I think Ralph is going to go tonight, only because of the leg injury............If he has what he is saying he has, that guy is in seriuos pain, and I'll bet he has been injected to help him.......have a bad knee so I know what he is going through. Mercy alone will cause him to be voted off.....I doubt he will be able to go to the very end, so many will think that too. its a shame.
-
Loved last night, the insta dance not so much. I loved Kirstie and I've noticed the heavy breathing thing too. She's much more out of breath than the others but then she's that much older (and I can say that being just a few years younger!).
It was unfortunate for Ralph having that injury. It's hard to know if he should even continue. Somehow, I think his fans may save him. I'm not going to be happy to see anyone go home tonight.
What a great season!
-
I agree, best season yet! Well, at least since #2 as far as I know since that is when I discovered it.
-
Absolutely not looking forward to tonight's elimination. They are all good in one way or another.
-
I think Kirstie is just carrying a lot of weigh around. Whatever happens, I hope she can keep her wieght down in the future - just for the sake of her health. I'm still rooting for her.
-
toni - I agree. Have you noticed her behavior has been in check? I am soooo surprised!
-
Yes, she was making herself look stupid early in the series
-
Semi-finals.......Hines....Kirstie....Chelsae and ........ Ralph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So sad to see Romeo go...he was a real trooper!!!!
-
Kirstie is surprising me. She is taking this seriously. And trying very hard. I'm impressed
-
OMG, I sit down all excited to watch, saw the first "filler" hour, then the live show starts. I got to see about 10 seconds of the encore performance by Kirstie & Maks (LOVED that dance!) and then it was interrupted by the local WEATHERMAN. And he kept blabbing and showing pics of large hail and talking about potential tornado warnings...
He pre-empted the entire show.
I missed "dance center!" which is always a funny thing I look forward to each season!
I know, I know, the earth will continue spinning, despite the fact I'd like to torture that weatherman...
-
You can always watch it online today to see the dance center
.
Sheila
-
Cameron - that would have upset me too. What was the weatherman thinking?! LOL
-
I'm sad that Romeo's gone:( but I knew it would be his turn this week. He had such a good attitude. I'm going to miss him. My VCR taped the wrong channel so I didn't get to watch the show. I think the final four is as it should be. It will be interesting to see if Ralph can get his injury under control.
-
I just read an article on USA Today about Kym Johnson. (She is Hines Ward's partner). Click the link for details.
She's still dancing and was cleared by doctors, but prepare yourself for the drama that will ensue on Monday! She fell hard and hurt her neck, they put her in a brace...on a stretcher ...in an ambulance. Scary! I think it was probably precautionary. (And let's face it; they don't shy away from the drama.)
-
Thanks for posting this. I saw it on the news last night and was worried about Kym. Thank goodness she's okay but you're sure right about the drama! After all it is the ballroom. Love Kym and Hines.
-
Are you guys ready for tonight? Tonight's competition should be interesting. I heard this there will be three dances and with two contestants injured there is no telling who will get voted off tomorrow. This has got to be the most unpredictable season thus far. I am really enjoying it.
