((((anniedd)))) I know it is all very scary. The day I went in form my PET scan was one of the worse days of my life. It looks like you are getting scanned just to show that you are NED. If you can, talk with your doctor so he/she can put your mind at ease, and ask for a prescription for Ativan (anti anxiety).
Now breathe... we are here for you.
One love, Jackie

Annie, your not going crazy...we've all been there. Waiting is the worse thing ever and will make you go mad. I was dx in July and didn't start chemo until over a month later, I was doing all sorts of other test and I was loosing my mind, I just knew it was spreading...it wasn't. Once you get your scan and get a tx plan together you'll feel in control again. You're er+, clear margins and no LN involvment those are all good things...I was IIIc out the gate and I'm still here & not going anywhere and neither are you. Take a deep breath and try not to stress until they give you a reason to stress. Get some ativan also. Hugs going your way and let us know how you are, we get it.

You are not losing your mind, but it sure does feel that way sometimes.
I know it's hard, very hard, but if you can take a few days to step back from it all you would feel better emotionally. If you're working and can take time off, do it. If you're not working, take a few days to take care of just you so that you can just give your brain some time to absorb all of this.
As weird as it sounds, once the treatment plan is in place and you start treatment you will feel better knowing that you're doing something. And to answer your questions, chemo with radiation sounds normal.

Anniedd,
I am glad you are feeling more calm. I think it is great they are checking you out completely. That is awesome. I haven't started my tx and my surgery was 3/17 and I felt crazy. Screaming crazy. This place has helped me so much. Just taking it out helps. I am getting something from you and u are giving back right now! I would like to get scanned as well. I am glad you are a part of us. -
I have been screaming crazy at times too...thanks for responding yes this place is helping so much , my surgery was Feb 8 and it feels like everything has taken so long to get going but getting there,,,,originally found the lump mid Nov so it seems like forever ago....sometime i fell like I don't even have breast cancer because of all the time that has gone by...it is weird.
-
so got my results and all good except something on my lung showed up and onc says not related to bc, sent for appt with thoracic onc.....ct shows may be lung cancer but not related to bc..everything on hold for trearment for bc until they check out the lung thing...freaking out as 12 week since my lumpectomy and thart window for treatment closing ...having bronchoscopy Monday
-
Annie- ((((((((hugs))))))))) Glad your other tests came back normal but Im so very sorry to hear somthing showed up on your lung ct- Hopefully it is just necrosis or scar tissue. I had lung cancer a few years ago before having breast cancer, i part of my left lung removed Im doing good today including having gone thru a masectomy and chemo treatments. We are all here for you! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
