Hi everyone, three days ago i discovered a lump on my right breast . it was not there the day before. The lump is next to my right implant. I had a BLM last year and had TEs put in at same time. Last Nov. (2010) had exchange surgery and now have implants. All that was a result of having been diagnosed with DCIS and not having had the option of radiation treatment as I reached my max with Hodgkin's Lymphoma back in 1994.  I don't have a fever, and the right breast was all clean according to pathology after my BLMx. The DCIS was in left breast. My question - can a cancerous lump, whose size is approx 4-5 cms, grow overnight? My lump is large, long and oval. it feels like a giant hard date. it is almost the length of my pinky finger. feels like 4-5 cm or so. Maybe longer. it is also very painful. and now there is redness appearing on the skin around it.I have had a horrible time with my implants - LOTS OF PAIN. i cannot stand them they cause me so much pain and discomfort. I would really REALLY appreciate it if someone could reply this evening - can a cancerous tumour show up that quickly??? I have heard of women getting breast cancer after having had a BLMx I am calling my surgeon Monday and will try to get in right away to see him. But I dont want to worry every moment til then. Anyone out there who can help? Would really like to get some sleep tonight. (; Thank you for reading my post.
