Bonfire of the Goddesses

Christine.... Stop by my garden on the way down. I have a wheelbarrel to help you haul all those pink things. But do me a favor, hold onto the Biotiene and bring it down with you when you celebrate and throw in your wig. Since the Biotiene is expensive and some of the sisters still need it, perhaps we will use it for a toast! And speaking of a toast... We'll be toasting those marshmallows and they will be ready when you are!
-
voraciousreader-
I will bring real drinks for the toast, never drank much before cancer, but got BC anyway, so now I may just take up drinking, smoking and gain some weight. I got lots of unused nausea meds for the fire too. I am going to sell my narcotics on the street so I have more money for the booze.
-
Christine - Welcome to the bonfire. It is a warm, comforting place to come to. Sure feels good to throw in all the bc crap. I will be alongside voraciousreader and we will help you get rid of all the pick stuff. I don't want you to get too close and burn yourself.
-
If I get too close my wig might melt. Thanks for all the help. Good to come somewhere for fun, rather than talking about side effects. It was a long winter. You ladies are a hoot.
-
I would like to burn my second last boss -----------------------she was a liar and a hater --jc into the fire
-
wlecome christine- you cracked me up with your post:)))))))
-
Christine... When you get down to the fire... You'll recognize Jo and me. She is the one leaning on my now good shoulder!!! Cheers!
-
Thankyou all for the warm welcome! Again so happy to be done with chemo and have some fun. I will be looking for you all again soon, no worries I got alot of stuff for that fire. Do TEs burn or just melt??
-
I read a post from a BCO sister whose (synthetic) wig melted a little when she opened her oven at home. Apparently, human hair wigs are made of stronger stuff..? At any rate, you're right to be concerned about the bonfire!
-
Synthetic wigs do burn easier than human hair - that is why they are not as expensive. Wig alert!!! Don't get too close to the fire please. Voraciousreader and I will toss in your stuff. Then you can all join us for smores. I brought enough for everyone.
-
Jo- thanks for the smores!!! Exactly what I needed and our sistahs!
-
Yep! Hauling the stuff will be good therapy for my fixed shoulder! Gotta keep moving it!!! I am thinking of putting up a volleyball net. Wouldn't that be fun to do?
-
Voraciousreader - How about this one? Love the sunset in the background.
-
Yep!!! This is going to be so much fun!!!
-
I almost forgot... Granny's on my team!
-
I wanna throw in thr looks I get from distant cousins. I did need your better then me looks.back then.. I dint need then now either, I would rather you look at me and say nothing. Trust me I would be tickled pink if ya did. So here I throw in my fake cousins into the fire. They all have very over the top egos, so they will burn hard, please stand back ladies. Enjoy the heat!
-
bump... set... SPIKE
-
voraciousreader - I want to be on your team - please don't make me play against Granny. She may hurt me.
-
Badger!!! Now ya talkin'. I am so excited!!!
-
Jo... We'll take turns with Granny. In the meantime we better throw those tatas in the fire and it looks like the fire is really burning tonite!!
-
Wait for me - I have to go get the tennis shoes out.
-
I don't even need a sports bra for volleyball, my TEs don't bounce. You all want me on your team, my right arm is still numb, so I can really wack that ball.
-
Love it! Founding member of girls varsity volleyball in HS after Title IX enacted in 1972.
But now I have nice soft virtual sand to land on, can we play barefoot?
And hey don't we all look great in our virtual bathing suits!
-
so, did my hateful boss get thrown in or not
-
Can he be on our team?
-
OMG just found this thread!! Yay! I was going to ask if it's OK to toss a person in the bonfire, and then I saw YES, IT'S OK! So, I'm tossing my ex into the fire. He walked away right after the lumpectomy. Burn, baby, burn!!
I will also toss in:
my appointment book - I'm sick of keeping track of appointments
the flowers - looks like a funeral home around here
that stupid little heart shaped pillow they gave me at the hospital - makes me feel decrepit
the sexy (and supportive!) nightie I just bought - he left anyway, so why night just be comfortable
Thanks for the bonfire!! Ahhhh...that feels pretty good.
-
Sas... That boss is burning next to all that pink stuff!!
-
How did you get the picture of my boyfriend??
-
Jo... You can do better. We need a few more boy toys! And they can help with the fire and the gardening too! And wouldn't it be grand if they toasted our marshmallows and served us our drinks and put sunscreen on our backs??? Yippee for the bonfire!
-
Kate... This bonfire is magical! Feel free to throw the bum in!
