does any one know how IBC Progresses

Hello Ladies,

Just wondering if any one knows how IBC progresses to the naked eye.  Does your breast just look worse and worse get redder and redder and then move to other parts of the body or ca your breast semingly look ok and almost look like its getting better.

I would really appreciate any advise or info on other womens experience.  My treatment is delayed because of anaphilactic shock response to chemo and I am just wondering if any of you know how fast this disease moves and what it looks like to the naked eye.

    hi,it is one of the most aggresive form of bc.it is  commomly diagnosed at stage 3.u  get stable results ur chemo should work at this stage or later it is hard to handle.MY moms  was twice cancer free but it came back as is is v v aggressive in nature.1 cancer cell multiplies into 100s just in few tym.  GOOD luck to u

    I've just been diagnosed for the second time (after 4+ years NED).  You can definitely see the progress in growth of IBC - and also the effect of chemo, as the "swelling" shrinks.   I've seen lots of pictures on the net, some from very reputablel website.  Some show similar symptoms to mine, but none of them actually looks like what happend with me, so keep that in mind as you do your research. 

    Because it is so aggressive, you will see changes happen very quickly.  While that's pretty disconcerting, it's' also very motivating, in pushing docs to respond to your questions and needs promptly.   Hope things start to go better for your soon!
