6 yrs out stage IIIC!!!!
Hi ladies,
This month marks 6 yrs from my particulary " Bad A** Tumor" (so said my Onc surgeon)," Poor prognosis" , blah, blah, blah, and guess what??? I am still here NED and Kicking some serious A***.Living Life Large. Started my own Business, enjoying my new baby Grand dtr and Thankful everyday.
For all those ladies who are newly diagnosed and scared sh*less. Keep the Faith. You have more power then you think.
I have lost 5 close family members. since my dx, and I never imagined I would outlive any of them (except my elderly MIL}
I am sooo grateful that I am still here and healthy.
and I thank God for these boards and all the incredibly supportive women for helping me keep sane for all these years.
I pray for all of us everyday, and would say to all of us in the struggle. ."Try hard to enjoy each day to the fullest"
Much Love.

You are just what I needed today! I just had a biopsy on an internal mammary node today, which they have aready told me that it is cancer, they just want to confirm. I was diagosed on april 5 and it seems everrthing has moved so slowly for me to start treatment. First it was going to be surgery then chemo, now it is going to be chemo first and then surgery. With the funky node, I don't really know if that is still in the stage 3 category or if it makes me stage 4, I guess it doesn't really matter, it is what it is. I am triple negative and already went through this once in 2002/2003, but I was stage 2b then, still triple negative. This is a new primary, but looks much like the old one. Sorry to ramble.

Hey Linda, CONGRATS! Yahoo!
I'm another to just reach 6 years -- and I had to laugh at your bad A tumor quote. My doc actually said my tumor gave him the "heebie jeebies." And I had still had 6cm of it in my boob AFTER 6 mos of neo adjuvant chemo. And here I am, 6 years later, going to Pilates every day, working hard, kids graduating from college and about to spend almost a year overseas. Hang in there, all you fellow stage 3ers -- you'll be ok.
Love to all us 3ers, old and new.
