elisasmith834. Wow and I thought i was being ignored.
-
Another fresh (and banned) spammer: johnwest279.
Thanks for letting us know!
Judith and the BCO team
-
Elisasmith693- spamming under another number! These people have no shame!
-
Update: all the current elisasmith variations are banned, so go ahead any delete any new messages you receive from one of those names. Although it's never a good idea to click on links in unwanted PMs, the messages themselves are on the Breastcancer.org servers, not on your computers.

i've been gettting spam too...miracle cure or something like that
-
It's supposed to be a miracle cure diet and "If you don't believe it then try it and if it doesn't work we pay you $100. If it does work you must pay us $100."
Kinda dumb, really. If it doesn't work, you're dead, so they'll never have to pay out. But by the same token, I wouldn't know whether I was cured or not until I died from something else, so they'll never collect, either. Does our troll need Remedial Logic 101?
-
We have a new one Profile for johnwest845 just PM me.
-
Thanks so much for letting us know! He/she has been banned and deleted. We are sorry for the inconvenience of these spam PMs and are working on a more effective solution.
-
I just received SPAM message from the same johnwest845...for the so called miracle...there is absolutely zip listed on his profile.....
-
I just rec'd a SPAM PM from susanwest379.
-
..susanwest379? that's very interesting... i intercepted an elisasmith379 before she had a chance to spam me. Could they be the same person then? or is 379 some secret international code for pink & unpopular (ie Spam)
-
Ugh. Thank you all for your continued help with this very annoying issue!Best,Your Mods
-
susanwest845. just a minute ago. LIsten susan/elisa/ken/pinkpuppeteer, I'm not interested and nor is anyone else so would you just please go away.
-
susanwest845, johnwest845... who is going to predict the next incarncation accurately and pre-block the username?
-
This quercetin recipe sounds like a long-ago spammer ("Sophia" -- among other incarnations) who used to flood the board with this recipe in posts and new conversations. That was a major impetus behind the "5-post-a-day" limit for new members. I know that limit was unpopular -- and it seems a limit to the number of PMs would be even worse.
Maybe CAPTCHA for sign-in would help?
-
I get a new name with a number on a daily basis.Last one was Johnwest845.
-
Got spam from SusanWest845. Maybe just delete these names with any number attached--is this possible. Or, maybe we need to have more rules as to info you have to provide in order to set up an account: i.e. name, address, phone number, and a legitimate email address. this just sickens me.
-
Just got one from elisasmith474
-
Same here: elisasmith474

Hey folks
Sorry again for all the annoying spam PMs. There were some upgrades to the site yesterday that hopefully will allow us to fix the problem.

-
elisasmith474 just did it again. I deleted it then it came back.
-
You know what, I was getting them and answered to one (deleted the others) that quercetin is contra-indicated in estrogen positive cancer.
Have not been bothered since
Oh, and I said, DO NOT WRITE AGAIN !
-
Well, I went a couple of days without one - the newest name version is elisawest357
-

Thanks!
Judith and the BCO team
