Swimsuits 2011

Options

I've been thinking about swimsuits lately and checking out all kinds of options. I put the info I gathered into a new entry on my BreastFree Blog: http://breastfree.blogspot.com/2011/04/swimsuit-edition-breast-free-style.html. If you have a chance to read it, I hope you'll find some of the suggestions helpful.

I'd love to get input about your experiences with swimsuits -- the good, the bad, the ugly, and the gorgeous. Finding comfortable suits has been challenging for me. I have a feeling I'm not alone. For me, one issue is that most mastectomy suits are high under the arms, which causes chafing when I swim. Also, since I wear an A cup, most mastectomy suits are too big on top.

I know everyone's issues with swimsuits are different. But hearing what works from members of this forum has helped me more than anything else.

Thanks!

Barbara

Thanks Barbara.  I've been thinking about swimsuits lately and dreading the entire process.  I still am trying to figure out the bra/prosthesis stuff which frustrates me to no end.  I will check out your site.  The one thing that I found already is that finding a bikini is going to be a challenge.  Seems that most mx suits were made for my grandmother, lol.  I am anxious to hear what others have to say.

    Thanks again for your site!

    Houndmommy,

There are some bikinis out there. Anita makes a few. And if you check out some of the links in my blog, you'll find others. I tried to focus on more youthful, stylish suits.

    JBinOK,

Thanks for your input. I'm very interested in what swimsuits women who go flat choose to wear. Are there any brands you particularly like?

I have a TE on one side and nothing on the other. My solution for this summer at the beach is to get a sports bra (my PS gave me a breast implant)and put the implant in then wear a rash guard (used for surfing). I can still wear the bikini bottom and the top looks great and the implant will not fall out.
