My mom is beginning radiation for recurrent breast cancer on Thursday and  last time didn't have radiation but chemo with mastectomy so we are new to radiation therapy. My question is I would like to get her the best cream I can get for her skin and wonder what you suggest?  I also think I'll get her some 100% cotton white tee shirts just from reading the boards, is there anything else that would make this easier for her??  Any advice you have is greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

I used Aquaphor every night.  It is very greasy so I didn't use it during the day because I didn't want to get it on my clothes.  I'm not sure how much it helped though.  I did burn, but have a very fair complexion and they used a boluce on me every treatment so nothing may have preventing me from burning.  But -- when I did have burns, a prescription cream they gave me called Silvadene worked wonders.  I also had problems with the skin under the breast getting very raw.  A small piece of a soft t-shirt under the crease helps to keep skin from touching skin.  Good luck to your mom.

I will recommend my favorite cream, my sister's friend makes it. If your mom is not allergic to lanolin, I think she would really like it (it is all natural) Shepherd's Choice Lanolin Rich Moisturizer. Shepherdschoice.com

I am not trying to push her products, they just really worked for me better than anything else I tried. Best of luck!

    One love, Jackie
