I Come to the Garden...
Comments
-
Mum, it's Thursday, but I'll take any prayers early. I need help to hold myself together until I go in.
Meece, write everything down!
-
I brought my own note pad and have been scribbling notes as quickly as I can. When there is a lull, I organize the notes.
I will be praying for peace for you until you go in, and during, Barbe.
-
I will tell it to the Ladies of the Garden, I do not feel good about this one. There is something going on in my pelvis that my use of narcotics has been able to mask until now. The breakthrough pain is breathtaking and my mind goes right to the dark side while I swim in agony. When I went to the ER in October the first time I experienced this level of pelvis pain, they did an xray and told me I was constipated. I was surprised as I was just "one day behind" if you know what I mean. But I trusted them. Now I'm pretty sure I should have pushed for more.....oh well.
-
Prayers and warm hugs Barbe. Please get this checked out right away. Extreme pain is never something to ignore and very rarely just goes away on it's own.
-
Chabba I am at the hospital on Thursday for a cystoscopy (or something) where they are going into my bladder to look. While in there, they will flush my bladder with various fluids to see if something is irritating it. By looking, they may see something, and biopsy if they find something. If I didn't know I was being seen on Thursday, I would be at the hospital sooner due to the pain. The procedure is so painful (the flushing) that you are put right under. I have given my DH permission to have them do more if they deem it necessary.
I need all the prayers I can get.
-
At the pre-op last week the anesthetist freaked me out by saying he didn't know if he'd be able to keep me out of pain after the procedure! He said I am taking very strong narcotics now and there wasn't much left to give me. They can't release me from Recovery until my blood pressure goes down and it won't go down while I am in pain (I had this happen before). A vicious circle for sure!
-
barbe - I will be holding you in my heart and in my prayers. I know that pains associated with the bladder and kidneys are among the most excruciating you can have. Many times when I was much younger I went through the passing of kidney stones and, at least for me, the bladder infections that followed. I was quite a young child the first time that I can remember clearly understanding. I can honestly say I hurt for you even though I can't imagine how much you hurt. I do know that God will be with and help you.

The hospital just called to give me my appointment time for TOMORROW!! I said NO it wasn't until the 27th. She was able to convince me that tomorrow was the 27th, so I will humbly accept your prayers one day earlier....
I feel like an idiot as someone was wishing me luck for tomorrow and I corrected them! -
Hi there, here are the rest of the verses...I hope you enjoy!
O[2] God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Our shelter from the stormy blast,
And our eternal home.
Under the shadow of Thy throne
Still may we dwell secure;
Sufficient is Thine arm alone,
And our defense is sure.
Before the hills in order stood,
Or earth received her frame,
From everlasting Thou art God,
To endless years the same.- Thy Word commands our flesh to dust,
- Return, ye sons of men:
- All nations rose from earth at first,
- And turn to earth again.[3]
A thousand ages in Thy sight
Are like an evening gone;
Short as the watch that ends the night
Before the rising sun.- The busy tribes of flesh and blood,
- With all their lives and cares,
- Are carried downwards by the flood,
- And lost in following years.[3]
Time, like an ever rolling stream,
Bears all its sons away;
They fly, forgotten, as a dream
Dies at the opening day.- Like flowery fields the nations stand
- Pleased with the morning light;
- The flowers beneath the mower's hand
- Lie withering ere ‘tis night.[3]
O God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Be Thou our God while life shall last,
And our eternal home. -
Egad-I wish my kid would get her computer fixed-I feel so out of the loop!
Meece-hope today was even better than yesterday. Barbe-prayers headed up as we speak!
-
Barbe, I will remember you in prayer now and until we hear from you. I pray the pain will be negligible. God be with my friend, Barbe throughout this time.
Ladies with chemo brain--about 5 months ago, a friend told me about taking extra vitamin B12 for migraines. I started taking a good sized dose and my memory problems all but disappeared. Just a thought, but like the vitamin D I read about on these boards for my pain with AL's, it is amazing how much all these things helped me.

Just got back. He says my bladder looks okay but will still test for infection. Second question: Do I still have my ovaries? Ouch. Now, though it isn't his field (Urologist) he will get me an abdominal ultrasound to check if the ovaries are acting up. I've had a hysterectomy, but they left my one ovary and part of another that I had partially taken out years ago. I asked for the CA-125 test to be done as well.
-
Good now try to get some rest.
-
Praying for answers, Barbe.
-
You are in my prayers, Barbe!
-
Grace, I LOVE your new avatar! You've come a long way from the scarf.
Meece, you've been quiet this week....I hope work is still okay.
Waiting now for US and blood test....sigh.
-
Continued prayers Barbe.
-
Finished 4th chemo not without problems my port flipped upside down. They got it right so I could have it. Also they think I got bit by a tick or something. I have to take more pills yuck. Keep me in your prayers that everything will turn out ok.
-
How the heck do they figure a tick in Connecticut in April!!! Were you out camping in the woods Lynniea?????
-
ticks are very high in connecticut we have woods behind our house. I just sat outside. Time will tell.
-
What did they see? A bite? Isn't that where Lyme disease originates from?
-
Yes they did a Lyme test but it takes a week for the test
-
What if you had been bitten in an area they couldn't see?
How would you know?
