Spam PMs
I have what is obviously a spam pm in my BCO mailbox. Can't seem to figure out how to get rid of it, as I have no intention of opening it. Does anyone know how to delete without reading?

We are aware that spammers are sending personal messages to members. We are working to take care of the problem by deleting and banning them. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
To delete the message, select it and then click delete. This will move the message to the trash and then you can empty the trash and eliminate the spam without opening it.
We hope this helps.

yeah, but it costs me receiving it. Not all of us have unlimited messaging on our phones.
-
There is a delete button on the PM page. I just applied the check to the checkbox next to the message and hit delete. I didn't open the message.
-
I got four of them. FOUR. Three were from the same person, and the 4th was from someone with a username that had the same firstname-lastname-number pattern.
And, they weren't even interesting!

Edited to add: The spam PMs I received were from susansmith84 and annajohnson73. All 4 were sent within the past 24 hours.

Hi folks - we've taken care of the latest spammer (jessicasmith62) although some messages may still be out there, just waiting for members to pick up their PMs. Please just go ahead and delete messages from that name.
If you get a spam PM from a new name it's a big help if at least one person can let us know by PM so we can stop them sending more.

Hello again! A new name for PM spammers today is johnwest39. It's been banned, and doesn't need to be reported again - just go ahead and delete any messages you receive from that name, thanks.
If you see new names that haven't been mentioned in this thread, please spread the word here, and let us know by PM so we can stop them. We're sorry! We know this is a bother for all of you who receive these unwanted messages. The tech team is working on ways to limit the spam, without affecting members who want to be able to send and receive PMs without restriction.

I run a forum also for my 4x4 club, it may be a pain but have you considered having to approve each new person who signs up? I do that, but allow them to utilize certain functions but cannot post or send messages until approved...and once I do find out it's spam, I block that IP...
