Anyone watching Celebrity Apprentice?

I agree, pip. Mark should not have said that, and I pointed out to my son that both Donald and Don, Jr., gave him a few opportunities to hedge that statement. I said, Mark is going to be too proud to back down from what he "stands by". Most of the time, that is an admirable quality, but in business...eh, not so much. So, he went down with the ship and left the men with Gary. BTW, I am sooooo disappointed in Gary! I can't believe he was hitting up the execs for a job and I can't believe he said that "sexual" thing and then denied it. I think John Rich was right on when he said he noticed last week Gary said he likes to keep everybody up in the air, and then Star said something about how Gary sure can pull his act together in the boardroom.
But when you think about it, if Mark had stayed, those men would be an unbeatable team while the women would still be stuck with LaToya and Hope. We don't even know if Hope can do anything - we know she was confused about the century!
Well, I guess Hope will be the women's PM Sunday, and from the commercial previews, it looks like the men are making Gary the PM - I told my son they just want to get rid of him once and for all!
You're right, VS, I didn't think much of either team's presentation. I thought that the least the men could do was put a couple of stuffed koalas with sunglasses hanging from the trees - that might have helped. Even old Gary said he didn't see the connection between suntan lotion (sexual!) and pirates! NeNe cracked me up when she said, "I'm serious, if the women win, then the men must have REALLY screwed up!". Then later, she told LaToya, "Don't you go thinking we won this project because of anything YOU did!". Nene cracks me up - she says it like it is.
You know, sometimes when it gets down to the last man and the last woman, they bring back some of the "fired" stars to help the remaining contestants on the final project. I bet we'll see Jose again - too bad we didn't get to see him being the PM. It would be a nightmare if he brought back Dionne!

Project Managers -- this week ..
Hope for ASAP .. Backbone ??
The boys have all had a turn, right? chemo brain... Maybe Little John.? I feel maybe Gary will be watching is p's and q's -- after Trump told him to straighten up! Gary appears only to have clarity in the Board room. And why Gary can not remember -- pitching himself as the spokes person -- was truly unbelievable. ..
Now that Mark is gone, I wonder if the Men's team will slowly unravel -- no one to keep Gary in check, or Meatloaf.

Gary could remember what he did, but was just too embarrassed to admit it!! Does he forget it's all on tape?? I'm pretty sure they don't get a final cut approval! hehehehehehe
-
I really don't think he remembers. He does have brain damage, so that would not be unusual.
-
Ok, let's go back to the "everyday people" as our apprentices..........these people are absolute idiots............and Gary Busey is scary..........I always liked watching that show, but since they started doing Celebrities I have stopped.........I mean.........I don't care what kind of a business woman she is.............for how many weeks can you tolerate Joan Rivers................and when she starts with bragging about her daughter I have to go get something from the fridge.......Can't watch it anymore.........Sorry Donald..........
-
So girls, always remember...to wear a helmet!
Tonight was a sitcom, not a reality show. Still LMAO!
-
Starr drives me crazy--so phony and smug
-
Yeah, I am not a fan of Starr either. I feel bad for Gary because he is so clueless, BUT there is no way I could work with him and stay focused. I have a hard enough time staying focused as it is. I am glad they sent him home though. It was nice of Gary to say he could not bring anyone back with him though.
-
I watched this week for the first time (this series) and was stunned that Donald kept Gary... Mark did say over and over that if they lost SOLELY on the pirate theme then he should go, but it was not just the pirates... It might have more been the lack of koalas and then theres the gary thing... I think gary should have gone. He is embarassing to watch.
And Nene is way too loud... funny yes, but don't care for her... i watched the housewives and when you see her in action in her own environment she is delusional and inappropriate.
-
No comments about tonight's show? Yikes! I haven't watched it yet - hope it was good!
-
I can't wait to watch tonight... But I don't know if you can top Gary Busey last week. It was like watching a train wreck... I couldn't turn away...

As for Nene - I thought I liked her but she fights dirty. Calling Latoya "Casper"... now that is just personal, not business. And it is mean. I do like that she sticks up to Star though!
-
I never knew Nene, Bdavis, but I am beginning to see wht you are talking about. Starr is ruthless. And I still can't stand all the pandering to Trump who is so full of himself he makes me sick. And he made a sexist and rude comment about Starr's body that everybody laughed at--even Starr--so inappropriate--but I like the show
-
I think Trump made a big mistake to keep Nene and fire Latoya. What do you think?
-
I think Starr deserved to be fired but Trump kept her because she is so strong and he wanted to even the team with the men.
-
If I was Nene, when Trump asked me who should be fired, I would have said, "Star". I know she felt they would be a stronger team against the men, but really, you are primarily fighting within your team to be the last one standing - Nene can beat LaToya a lot easier than she can beat Star. Besides, LaToya probably would have been gone in the next week or two anyway. There are not going to be very many more opportunities to get rid of Star.
-
I think keeping Star was a good move for Nene. Trump knows that Star is a control freak and Nene can use that in future losses. I suspect Trump would have preferred to have Holly back in the board room so he could fire her. She really is a dud as far as tv ratings go.
-
If Star wins, I am gonna barf!
-
I'm rooting for John Rich. I think it may be John and Marlie in the finale.
-
pip, that's who I see in the finale, too. John Rich is one smart cookie, and a perfectionist. Marlee has been laying low - and playing it smart with the women by doing so.
haha, I would barf if Star won, too! It would just be so wrong!
-
Star is a total suck up... OMG... Telling Mr. Trump how wonderful his hotels are. And I love the way she brags about how much she gets to stay in fine hotels... blah, blah, blah. I have to hand it to LaToya - I am pretty certain she has stayed in her fair share of 4 and 5 star hotels... and I didn't hear an ounce of bragging come from her. They should have dumped Star... she would be impossible to work with!
-
Is no one else upset with Marley to dump Latoya into the pit?? She never did like her. Marley brought up past challenges and that wasn't fair. If they had to vote on the challenge they just did (like they do everytime time!) then Starr should be gone!! I HATE Star's commanding attitude!! I wonder if Donald watches the show after it's all said and done to see the cat fights. And Nene!! Saying she was never mean to Latoya???? Are you kidding me????? She ripped her a new one and poor Latoya just stood there, took as much as she could (in the red dress, remember?) and then left. Nene is a bully. She figures if she yells the loudest that she'll win the fight. It's embarrassing that Starr thought their campaign was good...it was all tripe!! Done a million times...I'm so glad the executives thought so too. That took Starr by surprise!
-
They are all suck ups. how about when Trump asked them if they were going to vote for him for president--he is such an egomaniac--he said they would be stupid not to vote for him--where does he get off--what a fool --and everyone cowtowing to him. I read somewhere that John Rich really has a bad temper (bar brawls, etc) but is keeping it in line for the show. Also, something wierd about Meatoaf--his rage at Gary was frightening--Can't stand Trump, but I really enjoy the show--I like to psychoanalyze human behavior
Did anyone notice the sexist and inappropriate comment Trump made about Starr's behind? I can't stand shiz like that. . . -
They seriously have to get back to real "working people" who can use the job instead of those idiots who don't need Trump to give to their charities.........there isn't a one of them who can't afford to donate to a charity without going on Tv and making a complete spectial of themselves........Most of them have a manager, and plenty of others handling their affairs, so seriuosly, what do they know about "real business"............................I say go back to the way it use to be............I don't even bother watching, unless there is nothing else on, and I'm not ready to go to bed..................Ok, got that off my chest.
-
John Rich is a cowboy at heart. I'm sure he has had many 'bar brawls' over the years. LOL
Re Trump's comment about Starr's behind: My dh and I both cringed at that. He makes stupid comments like that every other week. He would be so embarrassing as a political figure.
-
I paused it before Star started talking to Trump because she began with, "May I say something first, Mr. Trump?". I told my son, okay here's where she's going to kiss up to him. She's so full of it! I agree, she SHOULD have been fired - she was the PM for the losing team and that's pretty much been the rule all along. I can't believe both Marlee and Nene stuck up for Star over LaToya! They missed a big opportunity to get rid of Star - she's only going to hurt each one of them as she ruthlessly tries to climb to the top. Oh! And Star going on and on about how she knows luxury - please! Obviously not! The ONLY reason for firing LaToya is Trump figured Star would make the women's team more competitive with the men's team, but again, it probably makes for better TV. Star and Nene are going to go at it again. LaToya seemed very nice - I loved what she said about Star in the car after she was fired! Right on target!
-
I liked what Donald said about Star's ass. I think he did it to knock her down a peg....and it worked!
-
I cannot stand Starr either. She is so full of herself. And I agree with her sucking up. I like how she acted like Trump was Jesus or something in her little pre-firing speech. I am ashamed to admit this, because ordinarily I am a democrat, but I actually thought Trump would be a good president......and then.......he opened his big fat mouth too many times for me. I hated his comment about the contestants voting for him. He said they were right to say they would vote for him, because if they wouldn't, he would fire them. Also, he is fighting with Jerry Seinfeld, Robert DeNiro, and Obama. He needs to sit back and shut-up. I heard on the View today that he is announcing whether he will run or not on the Celebrity Aprrentice Finale. I was sad to see LaToya go. She is a little dippy, but she was alot nicer than I expected her to be. I thought she made good points about all the tasks they lost were Stars fault. Oh well, sorry I got on my little rant about Trump. Til' next week.
-
If I was going to run for president, I'd expect that everyone at "my" party would vote for me (or at least say they would)! I think Donald is a huge puppy dog and just very shy and insecure!
-
True, if it was my party and they said they wouldn't vote for me, I would say "You're fired!". He was just kidding; he doesn't care if they would vote for him or not - he knows most of them wouldn't!
-
Hi Barb, interesting how our reactions differ abt Trump's comment about Starr's bottom. I didn't think she cared much--but it had to hurt on some level. But she is cold as ice when it comes to winning
