I'm open for moving it!
... Lorrie, since I had the TE's put in at time of BMX, I totally understand the "being tired of sleeping on your back"!! I couldn't wait to sleep on my side again!!
-
Okay, hate to even pipe in .... but, will be on an "adult" spring break 2-13 April. Totally understand that I'll probably be missing this quarter's gathering. WhooooHooooo Lorrie !!!

Wow, how did I miss this thread.
Hello to all from Olympia!

Hi Gals,
Did we change the date or are we still planning on meeting tomorrow pm? If we are, what time are we meeting?
-
I think we postponed as so many people ended up with double-bookings. If there are folks on the eastside that want to meet, we can do a Bellevue/Issaquah dinner.
-
I am up for that!
-
Hey Seattle crew!
Can we work on setting a date? I know this will be tough because we are up against Mothers Day and end of school, but maybe look at some May dates?
-
Good Idea Frosty-I'm free except for 05/13 & 05/16.
-
Hi ladies,
Happy Easter to all. I guess I dropped the ball on dates. It is the first time we are off on our once per quarter schedule! OK, here are some possible dates. Let me know what works:
5/5
5/12
5/16
5/17
5/19
5/24
5/26
5/27
Let me know what works and we'll try for a day.

Wondering if anyone from the area is participating in the Susan G Komen 5K this Sunday in Seattle?
-
Hey, I am in Seattle! Well, Maple Valley area anyways. Susan, my friends are doing the walk, but unfortunatley I have chemo on thurs/fri so I won't be doing it. I have been doing a 24 hour drip of ac and it kicks my butt for the first few days after. How often do the Seattle gals get together?
-
I think the Seattle group used to get together 4 times a year. But it looks like a lot of people may not have the time to participate anymore? I went to one in November when I was first diagnosed, but they haven't had another one since (hmmmm...maybe it was something I said?
Sorry to hear you won't be up to participating on Sunday. That is sweet that your friends are doing the walk.
I would love to see a Seattle group get together again.
-
Yeah, it looks like most are post treatment and doing great! Yipeee! Maybe some newly diagnosed Seattleites will see this and start it up again.
-
SusansGarden and others - I had put out the word last month through another crazy sexy member that I would love to host something at my house in Bellevue and I am still willing to do so. Just need to find a way to get a group together.....
-
HI Susansgarden, I am doing the 5K on Sunday with a bunch of my girlfriends. I know that last year, I didn't know of anyone that was going and I ran into about 4 or 5 of the gals from this web-site. It was really fun. You are more than welcome to walk with us.

I'll be walking with my hubby during the "co-ed" portion. I hope to see you guys (Valerie and Pam) there!
Valerie...how did you know the women were BCO people when you ran into them last year?
-
Susan, I believe that I had been to one dinner with the gals that I ran into at the race last year, so I kind of knew them. Hope to see you there.

Is there anyone participating from north of Seattle? I am in Lynnwood, but would like to join your group.
-
Hi Aimee!
-
Hi Seattle Sisters! I have not been keepng up on bc.org or this thread, I have to confess. Life has just been getting in the way - in a good way I might add! I am sad to say that I can't participate in the Komen Race this year as we have a huge event this weekend that will keep my family up too late Saturday and possibly busy on Sunday. It's called 8th grade Banquet, it's put on by the parents of the 8th graders and it's a huge extravaganza (is that spelled right?).
I would love to do another get together soon! Hope you are all doing great!
-
I'm doing the walk again this year ... I'll watch for you! This year I won't have a shiny bald head that will stick out ...
-
Hi everyone,
I so intended on walking this year. Last year I was recovering from my hysterectomy. Unfortunately, my son is graduation from High School next Friday and Sunday is Baccelauriate. We are also having his Eagle (boy scouts) Court of Honor the same weekend as graduation (family in town) so I am buried. Oh and my daughter is "graduating" from 8th grade and has a birthday the following week.
I do hope that we all get together some time this summer. I really enjoyed it and I know the new ladies will appreciate it.
Lorrie
-
Sounds to me that a "group hug" may be in order !
-
I totally agree with you Carol. Would love to get together. This next week for me is out with graduations and parties, but anytime after the 21st through the end of the month would work for me.
