June - WHACK WHACK WHACK! Whew that was fun.
-
I sure am going to miss you crazy lady!!!
-
Yea! It won't be the same without all you Tammibabes. I will have one drink for everyone - not one each, just one for the group. Will have lots of stories to tell when I get back.
June - Some one has to be the crazy one in the crowd - guess I am it.
-
-
Did I miss the pillow fight again. Jo watch out whack whack
-
Jo- a good WHACK to you to send you on your way
June- thank you for the kind words...don't feel brave at all actually...but I appreciate the thoughts. realised that other than with you gals and the folks I have personally told, that I feel somehow ashamed whenever someone says they heard and good luck and hope I am ok....ashamed....interesting to have discovered today that that was what I was feeling...like somehow these things have been my fault..find I have been giving lists of reasons why it shocks me as much as them(which i does) but partially to reassure them that I am ok and partially because something in my head somehow wants to say 'it isn't my fault..really....it is nothing I have done'....how intriguing, hmm? So...have decided to be much more graceful from now on and just say ' yeah...it has been a bi*** of a year but on my birthday, I started a new one. Thanks for your well wishes...' and see if that feels better. Anybody else feel that way? Not even sure if that is the right adjective for how I have been feeling but....close enough
Tink- glad you had a good visit....I know it is hard leaving her there. is it for a 2 week (14 day stint?) do something that calms you after you go and visit hmm? Even a short walk can help
Alicia/Jo- have fun!!!
-
Sandee I think we are the last ones on tonight. Whack oh I just could not resist. Where is Tink and June? My DH fixed me a great dinner outside on the patio tonight and I was telling him I could not believe how much better I was feeling. The last 2 months on tammi have been rough but finally my body has adjusted. Woohoo
-
Sherry- that is great news!!! so glad you are feeling better! I have lost 3 pounds but not sure if it is the walking, off of tammi for 10 days or all the salad! a combination? Think I will be able to cancel my gym trainer thing....can't really use her services at the moment and it is either work part time and continue to pay for a service I am not allowed to use or cancel, get my refund and start again once I am allowed back to the gym...think I am going to go with option #2...very frustrating! But feeling better since talking to oncologist who said my chances of getting cancer again in the next ten years is 15%...not 50% ....slept last night and am hoping ot sleep in a few minutes for another full night.....glad things are sdjusting for you!
-
SAndee that is great I think I would cancel too if I were you. Start it up again when you get the OK. Have you ever tried yoga? I started right before I was diag with BC and have kept it up and love it. It is low impact but a great workout.
-
Sherry- I am going to kepe my gym membership going ( it is only $14 I have beena member so long) so I can go to the yoga (flow) classes..it is right next door to the school so I could go to yoga and walk home now that it is light out until 8:10. the walk there and back woul dbe my cardio...the treadmill and bike bore me to tears!...usually however, I go to pump classes so I will ahve to wait for permission to do those again..which is a drag as I love them!
-
Hitting the hay now Sherry!!! Good night!(no pillow whack for you though since you are just starting to feel better:)
hugs
Sandee
-
sandee your so kind. Good night hope you get a good night sleep
-
Sherry - Glad you are finally feeling better. The last 2 months on Tammi have been a bitch.
Sandee - Sounds like you have a doeable plan with the gym membership and hope you can get back to what you really like to do soon.
Hate to tell you gals, but I have to leave you on the pier. Some of you forgot to bring your passports and I can't take you on the ship. Don't hurt anyone getting out of my suitcases. LOL!
-
Jo- hope you got insafely....mu passport is in my purse so you can't shake me sister!...and I only brought a bathingsuit and towel so I amnot taking up much room.
Sherry...third night in a row I slept a solid 6.5 hours!!! starting to feel like me again...amazing how much the tamoxifen was making me wake up, even on the sleeping aid....10 days without taking it and I am sleeeeeeping!!! wheeeehhhaaa. Off you enjoy the sun and the farmer's market with a friend visiting from Toronto. enjoy your day ladies
-
Sandee glad u r sleeping better. When I was taking ambien cr and lunesta I still was not sleeping well with tammi. Once my wild dreams went away I started on melatonin and am sleeping so much better. Went to bed at 11 last night and woke up at 10 this morning. This last wk my hot flashes have been very minimal but for some reason I had a couple if bad ones last night. I love farmers markets have a great time with your friend.
Jo I thought to bring my passport so u are not shaking me and leaving me behind. hehe -
I'v got mine too Jo.
-
Hi all...thanks for the great tips while riding this tamox train. Having lots of issues with sleep....I started the melatonin this week and it helps to get me to sleep, then I sleep about an hour, have a vivid dream then I wake up and takes me 1-2 hours to get back to sleep, then I stay sleeping for about 4...so I'm not getting solid sleep....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
-
Bon Voyage, ladies. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.

katyhen-I take a reg 3mg melatonin but Jo takes a 10mg time released melatonin that she said she bought at Walmart. I looked at my Walmart and they do not carry that kind. Maybe you can find a time released one that may work better during the night.
-
Sandee - Glad you are sleeping well.
Sherry - I tend to have a few hot flashes once in a while but nothing like before. Did not sleep worth a crap last night. Up for most of it. I am not in my own bed and that can make a difference.
Okay! You gals can come, but I get the bed. hehehe
-
Jo I don't sleep worth a darn when I am out of my bed either. So I guess it won't matter where I sleep this week on the cruise you can have the bed!
-
Sherry - I am so spoiled when it comes to my bed. I have an adjustable air bed. My side is much softer than DHs and I can elevate the head some so it takes the pressure off my back. This week won't matter - gonna be having too much fun.
-
Jo/Sherry/Ketyhen...I am starting to think that the tamoxifen really affected my sleep as I have had four nights of rest since going off of it..also mentioned to my pal that it seems that either the tamoxifen heightened my awareness of sounds etc or the hart meds are making me less sensitive as my neighbour walking upstairs at 7am every morning has not woken me up!
Jo- right now I can sleep anywhere so you can indeed have the bed! I am in your pocket anyhow so wherever you hang your jacket is good for me.
-
Sandee - I just can't leave you gals behind. Everyone has been so wonderful and supportive. I would not have made it this far without ya'll.
-
Tink - Sending hugs and best wishes to you and your family. I am going to miss you. Try and behave while I am gone. Okay! You really don't have to.
Tammibabes! I am shutting down the computer until after Easter. Gonna miss everyone.
Love & Hugs
Jo

Hi everyone....
I just bought Melatonin today. 3mg lozenges you place under your tongue. I'm thinking the time release ones are better but will start with this. Want to start with small dose so will do half a lonzenge and see how I do. I'm having a hard time with the sleep on Tamox. Had been an issue for me some years ago but had been sleeping fairly well before BC..and Tamox. Off Tamox for 2 weeks I slept good...felt restful and able TO sleep. Anyway, we will see how it works!
Jo, hope you are having fun!! You're so cute coming back to check in on us.
Tink, thinking about you today.....hope things are going well with your daughter.
June, hope you are doing ok. I know you are dealing with alot.
Sandee....so glad you are sleeping better!!
Sherry, glad most of your SE have gone away. I have to say, most of mine have too. The tummy nausea feeling has gone for me. No more weird brain zaps this go round either. But the sleeping thing is a biggie. UGH I am also only on 10mg still and will probably stay at this dose unless something changes with my bloodwork. I'm ok with that actually. I have read that they have done some studies to show that 10 and even 5mg work just as well for the most part as 20mg. (Sorry I hate posting that without a link ....but I was researching for my own peace of mind at the time).
Hope everyone is doing well this Saturday evening.
