So I am seeing my breast surgeon tomorrow...I am scared and relieved to be taking the next step to knowing what is going on.  My "lump" feels larger...it was already quite large...about 2 cm or so by 5 cm...it went from being smooth last month to quite lumpy now.  I am just so scared...What do I need to ask...do you think they will do a biospy of the lump even though it didn't show up on Mammo or Ultrasound?  There is now way I am letting this go as being "nothing" or "just fat" as the radiologist put it because he didn't see anything there...how can fat possibly be that hard?

My shoulder and back pain is concering to me too...I keep thinking what if this is cancer and it is aggresive and spreading...I know "one step at a time" but my mind is going in all directions right now,,,

NJDevChick- I am sure it differs from surgeon to surgeon, but when I went to my first appointment with my breast surgeon, she did a second ultrasound.  Keep in mind I was already diagnosed with BC with my first ultrasound, but my mammo showed nothing.  I would ask him/her to do a biopsy if possible.  Maybe, it will put your mind at ease to have a definitive answer. I will say after a month of waiting after my first ultrasound, the lump didn't grow much at all.  Also, my husband has several fatty tumors and they are hard, so it is a possibility that's what it is.  The doctors have told him, unless it causes pain there is no reason to remove it. Apparently, they are pretty common. Good luck and keep us posted.  Take Care,  Allison
