Hi, just introducing myself to this forum because - I didn't know it, but I *am* & *was* high risk for breast cancer. I am 30.

After being diagnosed with Stage 3 IDC in December, I found out I was BRCA2+ ...and that my paternal grandmother had BC in her early 30's, her mother died of an unknown cancer in her 30s, and I have a cousin who also developed BC but in her 40s. I also have very dense breast tissue (until they remove it next month that is!), and have had no children. So I suppose if a younger person is going to get it...it would be me.

I've finished chemotherapy, and am having surgery in May. After that I may or may not have radiation, and then will be on Tamoxifen for 5 years.

hi! i'm 29, was diagnosed with IDC in october of 2010. just wanted to let you know, there is a great thread on here for us "younger" women.  it's called "young women with breats cancer" and it's great cause there are issues that 20,30 and even 40 year olds deal with that maybe 50, 60 or 70 year old women don't. and vice versa.

anyways, i would love to chat with you, and let you know i'm here almost everyday and if you have questions, need advice, or just to vent, me, as well as alot of others are here too!!!

    welcome, angel

p.s. if you can't sleep at night, we have a good insomniacs forum too!

it's called Insomniacs in the wee hours. it's a diverse age group of us women, but we get kooky around 2 am from sleep deprivation! lol!!!
