Jo I think I would wait as well.  Don't want to do something that might mess up that vacation of yours.I have cut my celebrex and prilosec down to 1 a day each.  So far I am OK.  Seems the ice pacs give me more relief than the celebrex.  May cut that out this next week, I'll wait and see.

I will email my dr tomorrow and let her know I am taking myself off for 2 weeks.  I will go back on after surgery.  So far no tamoxifen today ~ and no episodes of that weird panic fainty feeling.  Thanks for all your advice girls.

Jo ~ I have most of my stuff and the kids laid out on the spare bed.  Will start putting it in suitcases around Thursday, we have to leave Friday night at like 3 am ! Early flight out on Saturday ~ woo HOO cannot wait !

Alicia - WOO HOO for both of us.  We can either leave Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.  We drive to Galveston and it is 7 hours.  We always go a day ahead just in case......

This time next Sunday the ship will be away from the dock and heading to Jamaica.

oh my goodness!!!!! This thread  moves soooo fast!! Having to post through my phone since we are having internet issues here ughhhh. Ha not fun! Anyway, ALICIA, girl take your break! I think it wil all be ok. I can totally relate also. But I think a few weeks off is more beneficial mentally then anything else since apparently Tamox has a long half life.....i was off weeks and felt and slept great though. Do this for yourself and don't  worry about it......only a few weeks. :) it's all balance..

Girls I actually have a weekly pill container for a.m. and p.m. as that was the only way I would remember to take all the pills I have to and to assure that I did not forget any pills either as I have such stupid brain lately......but ever since I started taking my Prilosec which has to be taken 1st thing in the morning before I eat I have been forgetting my little white pill a lot lately.  I worry about it as it has been at least 1-2 every week for the last month.....I know it is awful and I hope to get back in rhythm soon but when I do remember it is so late in the day.....I should be done my year on Tamox at the end of April, however I haven't even finished month 11 yet and that just shows you how bad I have been.......

June, why not put your tamox beside the coffee pot so you see it and take it in the am with breakfast>? I bought one of those pill things today, actually....figured it was the easiest way to remember them instead of setting them all our the night before. Now I just have to remember not to take 'em all and to leave two for bedtime!

June - I have to use pill containers also.  I have 5 different pills in the am and 4 in the pm.  Tamox is one of the morning pills plus I have to get DHs out for him too - he is so spoiled.  His doctor just added a noon pill for his diabetes - that is another one  we have to try and remember.

Lunch hour medications....my heart folks did up a chart for me to help me keep track...I hen took the pill botles and used pink and blue highlighters on the labels so I would know am or pm...will take me awhile to remember the darn names of them though...denial perhaps?

Took me awhile to remember the name of my cholestrol & blood pressure meds.  Didn't think too much of looking at the names of the meds - I always keep all my meds on index cards so I don't have to take all the darn bottles with me to doctors appts.

    Hi June and everyone!

On the pill box thing - I got a big one at Target. My sister was in stitches calling me the aged one and laughing and saying "oh I'm so feeble now did take my pills today??? "  We just laughed. I did it to keep my vitamins straight and so i wouldn't have to open 6 bottles every morning and waste time.

Valgal I still get the comments just like yours as everyone thinks it is an age thing.....I just couldn't remember if I took them or not and this way I would never forget and you are right about opening and closing all those darn bottles morning and night......

Sandee I wish I could put that pill near my coffee, but my coffee is the 1st thing I have and I need to take it with breakfast and gosh only knows when I get to eat it could be 3 hours later.....I know it is so bad and I am going to try harder this week.  I really just think this other pill is throwing me off,.....

But THANK YOU ALL ladies as I am feeling so much better knowing we all do the same thing......ha ha Smile

I have a lovely pill box ~ it is round in shape with the days on it.  It is the only way I remember if I took my pills or not, otherwise I wind up taking them twice and feeling sick !

    :)

    Good Morning girls !

Try to catch up from where I left off and missed a post from Tink.  She claims to be innocent - first define innocent.....

The melatonin seems to be working.  Slept again last night.  Now having nightmares of rads just before I wake up.  That gets me out of bed and can't go back to sleep.  Thank goodness it happens about the time I need to be up anyway.  Hope that doesn't continue.  Rads was horrible enough when it was really happening - I don't need to relive that experience.

Hope everyone is having a Great Monday.

    Hugs

Valgal, I know several times I took it twice, I almost passed out those days.  HENCE, I finally got the pillbox to avoid that from happening.

I am now taking a break from Tami ~~ between flying, vacation and nip surgery coming up, and just general not feeling well.  I made the decision to take a break.  I emailed my dr. (ONCO) and am awaiting her reply.

Alicia - Dry those eyes.  You don't want puffy eyes in those cruise pictures do you.  I wish I could come there and give you a great big hug.

Sherry - Glad you are sleeping better.   Amazing what a good night's sleep does for us, huh!

Tink - I hope you make it through the week I am gone with at least some of your wings in tact.
