Has anyone read that dim and i3c interferes with thyroid function?

Dear Amber,
Thank you so much for starting a forum like this where people can talk freely about healing cancer naturally!
After losing my mother and father and several friends to cancer and cancer treatments, I now dedicate my time to sharing my passion for healing naturally. After 10 years of learning, researching, experimenting with anti cancer herbs, and interviewing people who have already cured cancer themselves, I compiled everything together in The Cancer Journal ~ Heal Yourself! and I wish to share it with anyone who is looking for natural and safe alternatives for healing cancer.
I wish you all the very best of health and healing.
Kind regards,
Lisa Robbins, BScHN, RHN, CTT Please email me anytime at tgw @ thegoodwitch.ca
If you are interested, you will find more information at TheGoodWitch.ca, IncredibleHealingJournals.com or TheCancerJournal.ca

I should have said, there are a ton of delicious healing recipes, free tools, articles, videos, audios and interviews with people who have already healed themselves at TheGoodWitch.ca!
Enjoy!

thegoodwitch- It is against BCO policy to solicit and sell things. We natural girls are happy to share all our our research and knowledge with each other for free. Your claim to "cure cancer" made me immediately suspicious. Checking your link took me to your $47 order form. I have a feeling the ladies on this thread could teach YOU things.
-
Well I'm really sorry you feel that way. You only checked one link to the order form.
There is a lot of information at TheGoodWitch.ca - please check this website before you jump to conclusions. I have spent many many years on my work, and it is not just an order form.
How do you suggest I let you know about my book, if not to tell you where it is available?
Lisa

Here is something that you won't be 'suspicious' about ~ a full transcript of an interview with a women who cured herself of breast cancer. It is at thegoodwitch.ca/conversations-with-linda/
It really is my intention to help and this IS my only job.
This makes me suspicious of this forum and if it really is for women to talk freely about natural healing?
Lisa
-
As designermom stated, you are soliciting customers here which is against BCO protocol and anyone claiming to "heal" cancer sounds like spam to me--I get enough in my email box already, thank you! I don't care if this is your only job. This is not a place where your "selling cures for cancer" is welcome.
-
I'm sorry you don't want to know the truth.
-
goodwitch- do YOU have BC? And if you are indeed sorry about anything it should be the fact that you are reduced to trying to sell something to women battling this disease. As a collective group you just might be surprised how much truth we know. And if you do not have BC, I pray you never have to find out those truths.
-
No and I never will - that's the point.
I didn't come here to fight with you, I came to help.
Linda HAD breast cancer and cured herself. No one can deny her that.
Jay Kordich HAD bladder cancer and cured himself. No one can deny him that.
Kerri Howarth HAD a brain tumor and cured herself. No one can deny her that.
Billy Best HAD Hodgkins Lymphoma and cured himself. No one can deny him that.
Yvonne Chamberlain HAD black melanoma and cured herself. No one can deny her that.
That's just for starters.
It goes on and on and on - that's also the point.
Anyway, I removed the truth that offends you. I'll not waste any more of your or my time.

You have alot of nerve coming on this site spouting "truths". I did all of the anti cancer stuff for months before my diagnosis--I have so many friends, been there, done that. How dare you come on here spouting f@#ing "cures. Do you really think we go through surgery, chemo, radiation without any thoughts to natural cures? I did everything according to the "cure your cancer" sites. Most legitiamte sites admit though there isn't a cure, there is "cancer management". Sure, there are preventative measures, sure if it hasn't become a rapidly growing tumour you might prevent it from happening, but to say you have the cure is just bs!
-
Yeah, and I have never met one of them. Go away! The only person I know who tried to do all natural now has Stage IV cancer. The only thing that makes you a so called expert is the opportunity to make money off of people with cancer. Shame on you and your smugness!
-
hmmm.. thegoodwitch you put a very bad name to all alternative theraphies. Although my mother is on 100% alternative treatments.. I guess claiming for a cure is certainly misleading ...
most of all, there are rules that we need to abide on... the rules of not selling in this thread --we need to abide to it..
there are other ways to sell your products ..

Patty, what prompted your question about DIM, I3C and thyroid function? Is that something you've read or heard somewhere? Deanna
-
dlb823,
patty has probably read it from Yazmin's thread " From BCA: To Estrogen or Not to Estrogen"
-
Deanna - I was trying to find a new brand of dim or i3c and stumbled on reading about it and thyroid issues. I was just curious if anyone else had heard about it.
nanay - I did not read it on that thread.
Patty
-
Seaotter,
I heard this exact question asked at a conference. The answer was, DIM and I3C can block some iodine to the thyroid, suppressing the gland. But if you're taking supplemental iodine you don't have to worry.
Good luck!
-
Thanks Gals, the last thing we need on these threads is spam. New on BCO and fumbling my way through all this info. YOU ARE ALL TOTALLY AMAZING !
seaotter: Am also curious, as I'm sure I have thyroid issues although the endocrino says I don't - it would make sense as brassica veges (radishes, turnips, rutabagas, cabbages, cauliflower, canola, rape and kale) interfere with thyroid function. Are you hypo or hyper ?
-
mollyann- I hadn't heard that DIM can block iodine absorption. I'm wondering if it might be wise to take the DIM at a different time than iodine? I have so many supplements, it's hard to figure out when to take them all for optimal benefit.
MBJ- I like your feisty attitude about cancer cure spammers! You tell them!
-
designermom: That woman made me so angry! I am so sick of people who have never had cancer offering their cures or advice!! Really, I have women friends who were in top shape, healthy, in their prime physically who have this dreaded diagnosis, some have done all natural since they were babies, my friend's mom just died of complications from cancer surgery and she did organic, supplements, yoga--all her life and still died of cancer. I was one of those people!!! I kept going from dr to dr trying to figure out what was wrong with me long before my diagnosis. It's ignorance and profit at another's expense and it just makes me so angry!! Okay, I will stop my rant.
-
Hey All: I've read quite a few pages, but I won't have time to catch up to all 273 prior to my appt with my MO...I was wondering if you could through out some reading suggestions...part of my tx plan is going to be Tamoxifen, but I have uterine and ovarian issues. I noticed Crazy, Sexy Cancer Diet the other day, but I just don't know where to start. I've always eaten healthy and exercized. Compared to my friends habits, my cancer dx is laughable. I was a lacto ovo veg through most of my 20's and at some points even a vegan, but I started having issues with cholesterol and anemia...So I don't know if I could go totally veg again.
Any directions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
-
hi girlfriday,
I would be careful to give you advice, as I do not know you quite well--
my opinion is this
- vegan is better than vegetarian (do not give up on this-- there are other factors that caused your cancer -- being vegan certainly did not help preventing it due to other factors such as environmental toxins
- reduce exposure to xeno estrogen (unnatural estrogen) as much as possible
- Tamoxifen or not? I will probably leave that to you, just be aware that there are other ways to control estrogen dominance not just removal of ovaries.. and that there are good and bad estrogen in the same way that there is bad/good cholesterol and bad/good bacteria
- recommended reading click here
- and here (print and bring along with you-- good reading when you are in transit)
-
Phyto estrogens are plant estrogens and therefore natural. Nanay, is it the xeno-estrogens you're talking about? The ones from off-gasing, plastics, pesticides, etc.? Just wanted to clarify as it can all be very confusing, but I know that you've done your homework. My onc told me to stay away from phyto estrogens, but it's rather difficult and I just do things in moderation now (such as flax and other PE fruits and veggies).
-
sherbear,
yes, I meant xeno estrogen-- I was so sleepy, I woke up at about 5 hours ago (which is about 3am my time) and thought I should visit this thread.
I have corrected phyto estrogen to read xeno estrogen.
-
Nanay!
-
yes sherbear, I am addicted to this forum hahahha! eat and sleep with it.. is there a cure for BOC Thread addiciton??
-
I have always believed in the benefit of raw foods and good nutrition. I read everything I could about nutrition and cancer and immediately changed my diet to no dairy no meat and no sugar... I was able to do this for a couple of weeks. Now and then I let my self have some sugar. I also have gone back to drinking coffee...I have not gone into daily sugar eating though or any foods that would be horrible. I also want to say that although I ate raw veggies pre BC I also was consuming mass quantities of peanutbutter and had sugar almost everyday. I also consumed those energy drinks for years.
My -
Cont. BS minimized a link between nutrition and BC bit my PCP said a few days to absolutely believe that good nutrition was extremely important. I am glad for this thread since it motivates me to keep on the right path.
-
Nanay- Thanks for the 2:16 Estrogen test info. I will be starting DIM soon, but wanted to get a baseline estrogen test first. I think this is the one that would reveal my different estrogen types and levels. I would like to get this test before I start to see how DIM changes things.
Do any of you ladies know if we can order this test ourselves through any labs?
-
Designermom: I think you can only order saliva tests on line and they aren't legal in all states, so I don't know what NY laws are. You can do a google search, maybe. I believe all blood tests have to be ordered by your dr. I just asked mine and since I was due for one, he just added a complete hormone panel to it so insurance would pay.
