Thinking Out Loud.....
Comments

Sheila - I am thinking of you and your dad.
Meece - I will be thinking of you tomorrow as well.
I just took Ativan, I am off to MRI for the pinched nerve. That's why I am never on. Sorry ladies - you are on my mind though.
-
I was thinking about you this morning Diane, while I was out walking. Hope the MRI tells you what's going on so they can fix it!
-
What a time everyone is having. ((((((((Sheila)))))))) ((((((((((Diane)))))))))) ((((((((((Sandy)))))))))))(((((((Meece)))))))) ((((((((((Linda)))))))))) ((((((((((Deb))))))))))) Ok - who am I missing? ((((((((Chabba))))))))) ((((((((((Everyone)))))))))))
Glad you don't have an infection, Linda. So does that mean you went to the doctor? I'm wondering because one time I went a couple months (2 colds back to back) with nasty coughs. I didn't think I had an infection and it was loose so I didn't think there was anything that could be done about it. Finally, I thought I was getting a sinus infection so I felt I had an excuse to go to the doctor. She gave me something to dry up the cough and I felt better right away. And I had suffered for so long! Dummy. I wanted to mention that in case you might be like me and assume there isn't anything they can give you. ♥
Hope they can pinpoint what is causing your pinched nerve and do something to help you right away, Diane.
♥
Is there room for me in one of your pockets, Meece? I hope you have as easy a time of it as I did. Mine wasn't bad - my problem was the breathing - I don't know how to breathe without moving - lol. Plus I have that annoying post nasal drip that made me want to cough to clear my throat - but I don't know how to cough without moving, so I had to try to think about something else. That was the worst of it for me. Not terribly comfortable, but it was okay. I hope it is the same (or easier if possible) for you. ♥ Just picture all of us there holding your hand.
Oh Sheila, I don't know what to say except that we are all holding your hand today. ♥
Sandy, I'm glad your son was able to say that he had a problem. That's the first step toward solving it, right? A most important first step. Now that he has opened himself up for help, I hope he makes great strides in the healing process. ♥
I'm so sad my friends are having such difficulties.

They are forecasting highs in the 70's next week! Monday for sure, cool down a little for Tuesday, but then maybe more 70's after that! I am so ready for warmer weather! I HAVE to find another pic for my avatar.
-
I just saw the same forecast. YAY!! Can't wait.
Where's Raj been? How you doing Raj?
Thinking of you Sheila. Hope you are OK.
-
Im still home. Talked to the nurse in ER. They put him on Ambien and I believe his body didn't tolerate it well.
Now He is half awake and saying some words.
-
Thanks for the update Sheila. Hope he continues to improve.
-
That sounds goo, Sheila.
It appears it's meltdown day for me. I can't even watch tv without crying. Stupid me!
-
So sorry to hear that Meece. Try and keep yourself busy. The waiting to have the biospy stinks as much as the waiting for the results. Keep busy and I hope you feel better.
XOXO -
I am heading to the Relay for Life Survivor reception tonight, and it just seems like cruddy timing. Maybe that's the problem.
-
Well, at least it's something to do, or if you don't feel like going....don't. Go out to a nice dinner with DH and try to relax.
-
DS & FDIL are coming over for dinner. Still don't know what I am fixing.
-
I think you should fix some take out!
-
A Papa Murphy's Take and Bake might be just the thing....
-
Sounds good. Does Papa Murphys cluck chickens?
-
I need someones opinion.
As always I will have Easter Dinner at my house, my brother is going to be in FL. My sister will be helping me. I don't know whether to have ED without my Dad then go over to his place for dessert or taking the chance and pick him up and bring him over here then worrying about his health. He is still having breathing issues and it is getting harder and harder to take him anywhere.
-
What do you feel more comfortable with Deb?
-
I am leaning towards going over to his place for dessert but I feel bad for him not able to get out. He also has to wear depends and I am afraid he will have an accident.
How do you change your Dad.
I will have to think more on this.
-
Is there any way you could hire a nurse to come with him for dinner?
-
I am barely able to afford for the homecare we have now. I have Always There Homecare, Inc comes in every mornig @ 8 to help him with dressing, showering, they do his laundry and light housekeeping. They charge $21 per hr min of 2 hours. That is over $1000 per month.
-
Ouch!
-
How are you doing Diane? Did the MRI go well? Feeling any better?
-
I made it through the MRI thanks to Ativan. I now have to wait till next WED to get results and then the information as to whether we are trying injections in cervical spine or straight to surgery. It's a car accident I had 12 years ago and some concern that maybe AI's have really fired things up. We;ll see.
I am worried not to see Sheila on here this evening or maybe it is because of Idol but since I already know the results of that....
Deb - I totally understand the dilemna but having lost my parents, I think I would say to try to make it work at your house. Looking back with regret is no fun.
Meece - I am thinking about you.
Linda - you are feeling better I can tell
Hi Blondie and Chris and Chabba!
My family just went to Pinkabella to get cupcakes without me at my request. Thank goodness and damn it all at the same time.
-
yea Diane the MRI?
Linda are you better?
Oh and we are having the party for my dil and think she knows, so am playing on FB to try to throw her off so thanks Linda for saying something, lol
Deb, did you ask him what he wants, or will he say he wants to come to your house? The only think is that is something happens to him is it possible that this could be his last Easter, don't want you to have regrets......don't want you to feel bad...
-
My brother should be the one with the guilt trip, but he just thinks of himself. He will be getting back from FL the Saturday before Easter and he said he is going over his daughters house. It is too much trouble to pick my Dad up to go to Gardner, it is a long ride. He said he peed in his car and got the front seat soaked, HA HA. I have had my Dad over every single holiday, while my brother and sister make up excuses. Come Christmas, I am going to Bermuda and they will probably not do anything with him. Pisses me off.
-
Came home at 10. My father is back in the hospital when he feels better he will go back to Extended Care and we dont have to remove his belongings from there. Im happy for that.
He was awake but confused and we dont understand what he wants.
His relatives and I went out to eat after.
They are staying in his place.
Deb...I cant tell you what i would do but you have to think about both parties involved.
I think dessert is a good idea.
Yes Linda you do sound better.
Hey Sandy
(((Diane))) (((Meece)))♥
-
(((MEECE)))
I'm waiting for everybody else to get in your pocket so I wont be squished.
We will be with you every moment.
I love you.♥
-
Dessert (mmmmm) but I had a lot of drugs today so maybe not....
Deb - I know exactly what you mean. Some of us are forever the responsible ones.
Blondie - the MRI went well thanks to chemical living.
It is tough to be in the middle of the sandwich generation. Lucky us.
Sheila - remember what wil be, will be.
-
I know Diane. you made me feel better about things or at least i will be thinking differently.
♥
-
I think we should start loading up around 3 am Pacific Time so everyone will get a spot. I cannot thank you all enough for being there for me. Back when I joined this thread, it was mainly because I was facing a CN Bx and wanted to find out more about it. I had never been to this site before and had so many questions. I got lots of answers but had little time to develop the friendships that have been forged here over the past 19 months. I feel like I have good friends which I can share my fears and when I get it, my "all clears". Thank you!
