Solaris wants feedback
We met with the CEO, Kathy Weatherly and she wants feedback on all her products, both good and bad.
She especially wants to hear if Caresia has helped.
With all our discussions about the hand issues, it seems timely.
Her email is kathy.weatherly@solarismed.com
I talked to her for quite a while, and she does "get it" in the big picture and wants to know how to make the product work--she doesn't want to hear that they're in the closet.

Thanks, kira - I'm going to email her.

I will too!

I sent one and I let her know we hate the shape of the hand part!

The pres. of Solaris left me a voice mail this a.m. - I have a call in to him now.
I'm very impressed with their response so far - I'm glad to know they want to make their products better for us!
That is one positive about having le - as bad as it is, and as many wieners as I have run across, there are still good companies and people who want to do what they can to help us and make living with le a little easier.I'll let you know how it goes.

Suzy, I was so glad Binney and I had this long talk with her--she's really sincere. And it gave me hope that I can modify my Tribute to potentially work for me.

I haven't emailed yet, but had to call Solaris yesterday about having my Tribute remade and spoke with Emily who was very friendly and helpful. She assured me that they want us to have garments we're happy with and that work like they are supposed to. Before the call, I was pretty sure I'd be opting for a 2 piece just so I could have the hand part made like their gloves, but she gave me some suggestions and ideas for a 1 piece remake. (Emily was not trying to talk me out of 2 piece, just giving me all the options.) So the plan now is to make another hand tracing outlining the shape of my hand and fingers and then mark where the Tribute should end, also commenting that the hand part should be made as much like the Tribute/Caresia gloves as possible. Emily said they could possibly make the thumb the same as the gloves (more of a sewn in piece), subject to her boss's approval. I think the thumb is as much an issue as the fingers in the standard 1 piece Tribute..........doesn't seem defined enough somehow or fit the webbing properly.
At this point I'm very hopeful!

Nice to know that there are manufacturers who care about our experiences, and are respectful of our difficulties dealing with LE!
I will definitely check out SOLARIS as an option in the future!
