Lisa - That picture is awesome.  On the one hand it is beautiful, on the other it is terrifying.  It reiminds me of a huge wildfire.  Clouds of smoke and ash lit by the fires below.  Yet the colors are beautiful and the composition is great.  I find it too unsettling to like but I do admire it.

I thought of God creation in it and to me it was peaceful.  I feel very good today after chemo.  I took my daughter out driving today she did very well I am still alive.  :)  She has only been driving with the instructor so we had to do it to get it over with.

lynniea-I feel for you re: those driving lessons-my DD got her permit after my treatment was over by a few months, but I was very edgy the whole time.  She has her license now & it's my goal NOT to drive with her again if at all possible!

The first time my DD wanted to drive with me was to the mall (of course!!!). We started out driving into the sun with the windows down and the sun blaring in the windshield. We were in DH's car and she put the visor down and all of a sudden the car was filled with flying scraps of paper!!! My DH is like a squirrel and keeps every single piece of paper he is handed. In the grocery store I try to stop them from handing him the bill...sigh. Anyway, that was probably the scariest thing she could have encountred and she laughed like an idiot (like me) and closed her window, still whipping along the road. I figure if she kept her cool through that (I mean, it was a LOT of paper) then she can handle anything!

     There Is A Legend
At the time of Crucifixion the dogwood had been the size of the oak and other forest trees. So firm and strong was the tree that it was chosen as the timber for the cross. To be used thus for such a cruel purpose greatly distressed the tree, and Jesus nailed upon it, sensed this.
In His gentle pity for all sorrow and suffering Jesus said to the tree:
" Because of your regret and pity for My suffering, never again shall the dogwood tree grow large enough to be used as a cross. Henceforth it shall be slender and bent and twisted and its blossoms shall be in the form of a cross--two long and two short petals. And in the center of the outer edge of each petal there will be nail prints, brown with rust and stained with red, and in the center of the flower will be a crown of thorns, and all who see it will remember."

A little sick this a.m.  Took daughter to school and had to stop to use bathroom that God there was a place to go.  A little nausea it always seem to come 3 days later after chemo.  Had a good weekend my DD drove me every where.

mum, I found a lump in December, had an US and the radiologist immediately ordered a mammo.  the results were sent to my onc who wanted the two tests repeated under her imaging dept.  After she got the results she ordered a MRI.  The radiologist said she would tentatively put me on the six month watch, and that was in February.  Then when I went to the onc for my six month follow-up she told me she wanted me to have a MRI guided, vacuum assisted, CNB and that comes this Friday.  I have said elsewhere I just wish they could vacuum the whole thing out!

There is a nursery about an hour drive from here that carries dogwoods, and months ago had told DH when we finally landscape our back yard I want one.  Now I have a bigger reason for wanting one.

Meece, I had both breasts removed and I still get lumps and bumps that scare me, so ripping them off or vacumming them out ain't gonna make a difference! This is my second scare....

DH recieved the job he interviewed for.  It is a promotion of sorts, and his new boss called to tell him tonight, and he said the decision was unanimous and that he has an impeccable reputation.  Thank you, heavenly Father.

Now to find a job for me.  There is a slight possibility of a clerical position in the department he is leaving.  Since he will no longer be there, it wouldn't be considered nepotism.

The dogwood story is great-I'd never heard it before!

DD is back from Italy, her laptop is still broke, so I'm only able to sneak on at work, but love you all & pray daily!

Tonight, I went to my little  5 yr old "grandson's" baseball game.  Mind you my DS has not married his fiance yet and this is her son from a previous marriage.  My DS coaches the team.  The biological dad is out of the picture.  My DS and I were the only 2 there for my little GS.  A ball was hit and got him right in the nose.  He cried and wanted to sit out for awhile, but only wanted to sit with me.  I was so glad I decided to go to be there for him. He was ok and went back into the game.  I pondered that God has had this plan all along and I'm so blessed to be in this child's life.  Baby GS is getting big and so sweet.  Miss you Joni.
