Lisa - you are a very good photographer and we all love your amazing pictures. Between you and SV we all get to enjoy a lot of nature that we would otherwise never see. Thank you for sharing them with us.
Welcome to all the new ladies. This is a great place to be for information, encouragement, support and just plain fun.
Off to bed for tonight. Hope everyone has a restful evening and a joyous day tomorrow. Amy Jo

so many posts today!we have been busy. Gotta answer "MamaChrissy" first.. no, i haven't been sleeping well, even for me. about 3hrs of dosing at a time 2xs a night. my darn legs from the MS are kicking up, big time.. ....LEAH, i thought the same thing in the beg. about Lisa's name. and yes, she IS to be counted on.. ...DRAGON, I also had a BMX for DCIS, with many complications. but recon is out for me, cause of my many other health issues.. so, i wear "strap ons" now...lol...Lisa so. cal.. a good friend from here is thinking about relocating to Santa Fe. it looks like a magical place to me. she went to the spa.. 1,000 ? waters this winter there. sounded wonderfu;l!
Basrbara! My yellow plumeria let out its' first blooms this morn. Gonna try to get a pic tommmorrow. i have a cheapeo camera, but will try... and lastly, my girl ISABELLA: i spray my sheets and comforter EVERY night with something with Euculyptus?sp? and run the comforter for a few min. in the dryer.. its' the best!!!
i always love the story that Elton John spends 1,00 $$ every wk to pout fresh cut flowers in all of his houses, even the ones' he's not currently in.. thats' living!!!
enough for now. will return when ive caught my breath. saw onco today, lots to say, but all is good NED still....3jays

Yay! My mammogram was fine. They read them immediately at the cancer center I go to so no waiting. I really appreciate them doing this.

SoCal Lisa, you are world-famous; at least on this whole BCO forum. Your modesty and your simply doing what you love is a precious gift to us all. Believe me, you touch thousands of us with your eye for beauty in your photos - I am not alone when I thank you for sharing.
Photos:Chrissy, you ain't no slouch yourself. SV, we all love your work too, but you need to rest and recover - nature will still be here when you get well. We have a tiny bird too, with a huge voice - I forget what it's called, but they visit in the spring.Today we had a pair of merganser ducks in the yard - I have no idea where they came from.
Susgul, Yay for you!! That's good news; Dance a little! heck, dance a lot!
I used to drive 4 hrs to get screenings, just because of the 'immediate read.' Now, my BS has moved and is about a 5-hr drive from here - we make it an overnight trip, and I get the mammo one day and the results the next. 1-yr mammo screening is coming up in 2 wks, but blood work is done and "looks good." So I am hopeful.
SV I hope you're taking care of yourself; eating and resting and not stressing. 3jays, I hope you get some relief, and some sleep.
To all, wishing you a pleasant day ahead. Today we drove up the hill to the snow - 20 miles uphill, they have about 10-12 feet. Our snow has just melted, and we have daffodils.

Isabella clean sheets every day is my "if I win the lottery" fantasy (and someone else does all the laundry and makes the bed) and a couple of months ago I dog sat in a fancy neighborhood and had a beautiful bedroom with a comfy bed and lovely soft sheets and duvet and when I pulled it all apart to do the laundry it was all Ikea. 3jays I think we all understand your sleep pattern issue, hope it gets better for you. Lisa have you ever photographed the flower fields in Carlsbad as they are so spectacular when they are in bloom (right now if my mind serves me correctly). Trisha Anne I'm an ex-pat Aussie from Sydney but I've lived in the US for 30+ years but you'd never know it cause I still have my accent.

Here is my story that I didn't tell earlier today due to the headache.
I was in a fabric store with my daughter, in public, yes? She asks me if I think a third of a yard of a fabric will be enough for what she needs. I respond, "Sure, 9 inches will be plenty." Chemo brain is alive and well.
Love Ginger

How funny Ginger.
3jays, I live forty miles from Santa Fe, the spa is called 10,000 waves. I've never been there but would love to go. I worked as the Pantry Chef in my son's restaurant in Santa Fe for a year back in 2004 and spent a lot of time in Santa Fe. It is pretty but expensive.

Sus happy cancerversary!! YAY! Clean mammo!
Hope everyone has a great, se-free day!

this is a gorgeous thread in many ways. Thank you all so much for leaving snarkiness at the door. (I love how kids know how to take off their shoes when coming into a person's house).
-
SoCal Lisa ~ I second what Lost_Creek wrote. You touch thousands more on fb with your gorgeous photos. I start everyday with a visit to your page and your photo of the day inspires me without fail. Thank you for your generous gift, sweet sistah.
Nico ( you know the one who wants to eat most of your flowers, LOL)

Nice to see so many of you on this thread. I keep telling Lisa she should make a calendar and Chrissy you can make one with shots you get in the States after your trip....proceeds can go to BC. Me, I still want to do my 365 days of Tim calendar with my shots of him passed out in the chair at the top of each month.
The pose is always the same, only the shirt changes. Should I laugh or cry?
Congratulations to all on good test results and to you AmyJo for being off treatment and being able to have doctor free days.

wow everyone..thanks to those who like my photos..it is pure fun for me
and I am so glad they can bring a little happiness to all my friends...

Good Morning Gals, quick note as i need to read what i just printed off. I am having a terrbile time getting onto BC.org-anyone else having the same problem. I get "Page error and technical difficulties from the BC.org site". I can hit the thread to post after about five tries...and to add to the stress, someone tried to hack into my BC.org account last night at 3:05 AM. I got notice from my security system this morning. The hacker came from somewhere near Chino Hills, Calif. I have an IE address and I have forwarded it on to the moderators. That is all I know right now but I may chose to leave the board and our threads entirely. I have never had this happen to me except a hack that got in on BC.org and started posting things i did not write a few months ago. This is truly serious and criminal behavior and i am stressed enough without all of this. If this can be tracked, we all know the source i am sure-I will forward any info that i get but doubt the moderators will do much with the info that i gave them. So sorry to bring a potentialy sour note to our wonderful thread but this is for real and it is a head's up. Love you all, SV

good grief SV...this sounds like a pro job of hacking..I have no clue about computers at all really, and I sure hope the mods can figure out what is happening. It is a good thing I think that you know the IE address if that is a help for them..can your computer security outfit figure out who owns that IE addy?

SoCalLisa, you got me with that big sunflower! Last year I grew some that were black--it sounds crazy but they were beautiful in a wierd kind of way. Susgal, congrats on the clean mammo! My star magnolia is in bloom--if I can navigate the picture uploading thing I'll try to share. Oh I've never been so anxious for spring and it's freezing here today. Dragon

Well, today in sunny FL we are under a tornado watch (all morning and until 1PM) and it is raining sideways, high, gusty winds and thunder and lightning. Ick. If I were here on vacation I would be very upset.
-
Oh, Lisa, I want to lick that pink and white rose. Reminds of a cherry creamsicle from my childhood. You and your YUMMY flowers! LOL
Nico
-
have you ever seen a yellow poppy??
I did a few minutes ago on my way home
-
Morning all
Lisa, the flowers are so beautiful. I wish I could take ones like yours they are just magic.
SV, I do know of someone on another thread who was hacked and so created a new name, she told us who she was but they had got into much more valuable info than BCO. So do talk to your tech guy about it.
Another lovely morning, think it will get quite warm. Chrissy what's it like in your part of the world, you thought it was going to get quite cool.
Sus great when you have a clear mammo. YEH
Hope you have had a great day.
-
Lisa...another one here who always looks for your photographs, particularly the flowers. Some of yours...well, MOST of yours are superb, equal to any professional ones.
Susgul, pleased you got a good mammo...I have nothing TO mammo !!
Sunflower, I well remember The Jabberwocky, but can't recite much at all now !
Had a lazy doing nothing sort of day today. I am getting used to this letting someone else do my work. I got up at 9.30, had a leisurely coffee, then a shower, and spent must have been almost an hour prancing around my bedroom trying on various things...then ended up back in my work jeans and a T. No use really putting on decent clothes as I am busy with dogs most of the morning, and sheep most of the afternoon. No sheep today tho', I left instructions I wasn't coming out to do any sheep , so unless there was an emergency DO NOT ring my bell ! Instead of going outside this afternoon I was on my sewing machine altering 2 prs of trousers...getting ready for some Spring weather. Then I cleared away my winter shoes and boots, and dug out my summer shoes and sandals. I was disappointed that I couldn't find any to throw away, so I could get some new ! I have a thing about shoes, and all last years ( and I am talking 33 pairs I got out today) will do another season, some have never been worn. I still have to go thru' my 'best' shoes I keep upstairs, they are tumbling out of every wardrobe. Most of these are heels, and I haven't a cat in hells chance of walking in heels this year, nor maybe ever again ! But it'll take a lot to get me to part with my shoes.
Am sticking a load of clothes on eBay, I have no wardrobe space left hardly. I have 2 particular designers I buy from each year. I think you can get them in US, Oska ( a German designer) and Crea Concept (a French designer) Both a bit quirky and off the wall...don't do twinset and pearls !!! I often wonder when I will just give up on clothes and stick to bombing around in my dressing gown all day !!! I get DD and G/daughter coming raiding my wardrobes now and then so can't be letting the side down and buying 'granny' clothes.
DD had her pig castrated today...she has left me a 'phone message to say he was OK , but a bit quiet tonight. The funny thing is she calls it the exact same name as her DH...David, but she refers to the pig as david (small D) She had put on her Facebook that david had been to the vets to be castrated, and had had over 40 'friends' on FB jump in and wonder WHAT was going on !! That is just ONE of the ridiculous things she will do!! Fancy calling her DH and her pet pig the same name. I sent her to my vet. as if I get the op. on my farm account it will be cheaper, goodness knows what he will make of her as she tries to explain this one to him.
3jays...I never thouight to use a spray on my bedding, sometimes I will spray with perfume, but hadn't thought to try anything else.I love my bed !!!!
Off to go TO my bed now. I have a new audio book to start and listen to, but no doubt I shall fall asleep 2 or 3 minutes after it gets started, I usually do. Marybe...have you tried audio books, you were complaining about not being able to sleep ? I always start with good intentions, but I NEVER manage to stay awake the full hour my machine plays for. I listen to them in the car as well, but so far they haven't put me to sleep while I am driving.
Isabella.

Lisa - I so love your photos. You really should do something with all of them like a calendar or a coffee table book or even just frame them. They are beautiful and you seem to alway catch the best light for them.
-
amyjo, I have many framed in my home "office"..I say that because I am retired
and I don't do any business..but I do have fun..I have made some books for family
and a couple of friends, but mostly I just have fun with the photography

hey ladies.. after getting the tummy trouble, we followed it with the oncos office, and a court hearing, yesterday, and then, today.
both appts went oki, but i got much more emotional about them than i needed to. Onco "got on" me about why im so tired... says its GOTTA be the MS..CAN'T BE that i've had 5 bacterial infections in the past 3 years..
then, she followed the nonsense with, how is your Vit D? like i'd know! she said it was 27 last time, so there's part of the mystery solved! i asked her to take my estradiol,, but she said it would be low, ive been in menopause/ and then chemoppause, so i let it go. she thought i could stop some of the supplements for anti estrogen, if i'll lose some weight.. it 's the dreaded belly fat, which i did have pre bc... but, im just not motivated enough to go on a serious diet right now. have been eating healthier, tho.. then, Mr. Enabler brings home 6 cupcakes tonight from Publix.. i swear! we did have the talk, but i did eat 2 also!
life just seems to be very hard, right now..i will start back in the pool, and see how it goes from there. Mr.Fish has the tummy flu today; i thinkhe started it last thurs night ... anyway, when we're all better, we'll be picking him up and swimming. he always motivates me!!
today, to go to court. they were late hearing the case we were there for; parkingcost us $32.00!!! i couldn't believe it.. and my wheelchair doesn't fit in the handicap stall, either.. no family bathrooms, so Mur could help me.. won't be going in anymore.. its' just too hard. its for a family member, and i told them tonight i can't do it anymore, and they understood. so, all is good..
well, lots going on behind the scences again, but we're just fine where we live!!! right?.....3jays
-
so sorry for your day 3 jays, what a bummer..
sending hugs to you
-
thanks Lisa.. not much happenning here tonight, so im gonna go to bed with a book... night all. 3jays
