The Genie Bra?
Seriously, this is what happens when I stay up too late at night flipping through the channels - I get sucked in by infomercials! Having said that, I think this bra may be worth a try for some of the ladies that either benefit from not wearing a bra (but would like to) or maybe even some with breast edema. Has anyone ever tried it? It seems like it would not cut into shoulders or trunk... I just don't know if I want to place the order and have 6 bras laying around if they didn't work out!

It honestly doesn't look like it would hold me up....but for someone who isn't wearing a bra it looks like it would be comfy.
To cut and paste using Mozilla.
click on your Ctrl key and your V key at the same time. a new screen will come up. Paste it in there and then click on insert.
Then to make it link, use you mouse and select the address and click on the insert/edit link button two over from the smile. A new window will pop up. paste the address in the link URL space and then click on insert. and you now feel like a pro.

Kitty dog! Thank you for those instructions... Man, they don't make it easy do they??!
-
You are welcome. I just happened to figure it out. thanks to my computer nerd hubby.
Control and C = copy
Control and V = Paste
-
Actually I saw that somwhere and thought the same thing!
-
I use Firefox too and so also have never been able to use my mouse to copy and paste. There is a way you can monkey with Firefox profile preferences to change that, but I've never wanted to attemp that. So today I tried doing this with Ctrl V and found that you must disable popup blocking to use this method. With Firefox, you'll get a bar at the top that gives you the option to disable the popup blocker for this site. I love learning new tricks! Thanks Kitty!

I've had my genie bra for a few weeks now and think it's well worth the money. I like the fact that i don't have to deal with any underwires or straps but my husband doesn't like it and i have to admit it's not the sexiest bra, but it's damn comfortable. If anyones in canada and wants to buy it i suggest you check out the offer seen at http://www.seentvcanada.com/genie-bra-canada-p-680.html ..for the record i tried control v into this box and got an error.

I'm gonna look it up, but honestly, I am so pleased with my stick on bra. Wore it last night and stuck it on to give me cleavage. First time since breast cancer. Have to take it off ever so slowly and would never wear it every day, but for those dress up occasions it's the answer. Only fits over the boobs. No back or straps to constrict. OK, now I'm looking up genie.

kane744- stick on bra??? Where can I buy one?
-
Hi sistas
i got a card in the mail about those bras.sounds too good to be true.i do have mild edema and now im only wearing a sports bra and a compression bra.ugh........im soooo tempted to order them but dont think there will be enuf support to hold up 34DD with slight edema....anyone know????????
just dying to put a real bra on and not worrry.

Babs, the product is called NuBra. I got mine at Dillards, which is a big dept. store in the south. There are several different models, even one with underwires. The best thing about them is that depending on how you position them, they even provide nearly decent support (I'm a D). Takes a bit of practice. At first I was worried about peeling the one off my breast cancer boob cause of the scar, but directions say to take it slowly and I had no problems at all. I've worn them for well over six hours and had no trouble with losing their stick. They are on there!! Love, love, love this product.
-
I called the co.and asked what it was made of.96& nylon and 4%spandex...I dont think thats strong enuf for me...does anyone have any feedback on this?????? this offer is so tempting but!!!!!
there is a 60 day money back policy!!!!!!! hmmmmmmmmmmm.
-
Hi Kane,
How do you think the NuBra would work after BMX to add just a little fullness? I'm not interested in having large "breasts" just don't like being concave and I HATE wearing a bra. I've tried contact silicone forms, but found them too heavy and uncomfortable, plus you still need a bra. I do wish someone would make a contact foam or fiber filled form, but possibly a NuBra might work?
-
I broke down and bought them.i got a card in the mail that gave ne an additional discount and i called them up and spoke to a nice lady for about 1/2 hr.told her about the bc,the harness i wear, sports bra yadda yadda yadda and she said you have 60 days money back policy....Ill keep you gals posted.it sounds too good to be true...
Hey ya neva know unless you try.maybe i will wear a reg.bra someday!!!!!!
-
I just have to post as I have had my Genie Bras for a month or two and I love them! I do not have breast cancer (my husband does and just had a full right masectomy yesterday) but since bc is on my mind these days,I thought that they would work very well for ladies with bc.
The only thing, they are a tiny bit hard to put on (not as easy as a regular bra) BUT they are absolutely the most comfy bra I've ever worn. They have like a little "pad" inside (I didn't see this in the commercials) that move around (not really a bad thing). I am a 40C/D and they support me very well. I hate taking it off!
I hope you have good luck with yours!

There is a $20 off sale for them online, an ad popped up in an online newspaper I was reading. I was in pain kayaking today, and came home to find an 8" long welt under my arm and around my back from where my sports bra (wireless) rubbed. ugh. maybe a genie bra is the answer! actually losing weight is the answer, but in the meantime??

-
HEY everyone !!!!!!I got the bras.....I have 1 on now....put it on slipping it up and its very comfy....i hate new bras but so far so good.it feels like in between the compression bra and the sports bra.like a little less support and i am comin out a little under the arm but i like it that way because it doesnt cut the scar....just wanted everyone to know for the $$$$$ its a nice change of pace.looks like im gonna keep them.
-
mine does not have any wires in it.I cannot wear any underwire bras ever again.
-
I am so glad these are working for someone! I still am tempted... so keep us updated on them granny! I also didn't see that any of the Genie bras had underwire??? Is it only on the much larger ones?
-
im a 34DD...no underwires.i wore mine yesterday all day and it felt good.
i dont want anyone to think these bras are top of the line but they sure are working for me...i would not wear them everyday but the best part is they are not cut high under the arm where i had the SN removed.
bottom line for the $$$$$ they are really worth it.
-
toby - on their website they say that there are "no underwires". Could you be thinking of a different brand?
Granny - I think I may end up trying them just to wear around the house. Going out I would like more support, but they sound so comfy just to wear around when I am not planning on going anywhere!
-
Thanks for the review, granny.
For me, trying to find something that IS cut high under the arm is the trick, so it contains that very pesky swelling right in front of the axilla. For that the WearEase works well for me. Hard to find something both high enough to cover the area and gentle enough not to cut into it.

How does one differentiate between mild axillary/trunk LE vs. having a little bit of extra flesh or loss of muscle tone post surgery? KS1
