i am 8 years post chemo, but continue to have relentless  leg pain.  it is not neuropathy -- i had a neg. EMG. it started 1/2 way through taxotere.  does anyone else have this?  it is debilitating stuff.  i wear a fentanyl patch and take oxy prn. but i am sick of treating the sx and i can barely endure it, even when i do. i would like to know why it is happening...

Hello - Have you been checked for peripheral artery disease or have your doctors mentioned more tests?  I hope you can get answers and relief soon!!

Yes, they have checked for PAD -- Negative.  I have no idea what it is, and neither does anyone else. Soooo frustrating. So hard to endure. Just thought I'd check back here to see if there was anyone else experiencing the same thing. Thanks!

    Hello to you!

I had that issue with Tamoxifen! Pain was so severe it sent me to the hospital twice. Discovered that I had neuropathy and that Tamoxifen was exacerbating the problem. Tamoxifen was immediately stopped and am now on Fareston.

But since you're 8 years post chemo and have had both an EMG and checked for PMD; not certain. Were you given second opinions with either test?

I hope that you'll find the answer to your pain soon.
