Nancy
I also had terrible bone pain with neulasta. The only thing that helped a bit was ibuprofen every 4 hours. Have you discussed this with your oncologist or tried it yourself? My thoughts are with you. Hopefully soon you'll be looking back at this period of your life like a bad dream.
-
Nancy - I'm also thinking about you. I hope you are feeling better. I sent you a PM...
Hang in there Nancy! Hugs...

6 days to the last chemo and counting! (((Nancy)))
-
Nancy, you are in my thoughts hope your strength returns very soon, so very sorry for all you are going through.

Hi Friends,
I've been feeling poorly this week. I don't know why but nausea and weakness seem to be the symptoms this week. I am anxious to have my last chemo on Wednesday and then start the countdown to April 6th for surgery. I have been reading all about BMX and it is starting to worry me how it will all work out. Having so much skin removed seems to be different from most women. I just hope I heal fast. Once again I appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers. You ladies give me strength when I need it most!
Take care,
Nancy
-
Nancy, Last chemo this week. Yay! You have been admirably resilient. I too hope you heal quickly after the surgery. Sending hugs your way. Maureen
-
I'M DONE WITH CHEMO...................YEAH!!!! I know I will be sick starting on Saturday but it will be the last time I get sick from this poison. Thanks you one and all for the support you've given me to get to this point in my treatments.
Love you all,
Nancy

Well, Nancy, I've been waiting for this post and here it is! Finally the end of chemo. It is good to know that you will not need to deal with the SE's after this last time. YEA!!!!!!

Have been sending virtual hugs daily and thinking of you constantly.
Congrats on completion. Such a strong woman you are!!

Nancy
-
YAY--the last time EVER..... I remember this day so well for me-it was a Sunday and I was on my way into the worst of the SE's-I was at the bookstore and I practically danced out in the parking lot!!!! It is only up from here!!!!!
keeping you in our thoughts!

Nancy, I am sooooooooooooooooooooo happy for you. There are MANY women who have had recurrences and BEAT IT! You WILL be one. Hang in there. I always tell everyone, early stage cancer is like getting away from the mafia and surviving. However you are forever looking over your shoulder! Hang in there. You WILL BEAT THIS!!!!! Sending hugs your way
-
Nancy I am relatively new to this forum and like everyone else wish I didnt have to be here but we all play the hand we are dealt. I have been following your progress. You are one brave lady. You have had to endure a lot physically and emotionally. I sure we are all scared of recurrences but what is esp scary to me is I had a low oncotype score too...mine was 11. I know it isnt an exact science and the test is not fullproof but how can we feel better about a low score because of what happened to you....they said my cancer was non-aggressive. I know the doctors are only human and cannot possibly predict 100% everything is okay but I shudder to think if your BS had not found the cancer. I have one of the best BS in town too. Good luck and we are all pulling and praying for you.....diane

The chemo and shot are kickiing my butt. Met with surgeons for 4 hours yesterday. They warned me that it would be a painful recovery. I didn't feel as warm and fuzzy when I left. Just very tired and scared. Thanks for checking on me. Both surgeons commented that I had a morphine haze around me. Lucky for them because I couldn't ask questions very well. Hubby did the best he could.
-
Hang in there Nancy! Big, warm hugs to you and dh...please keep checking in...you have lots of cheerleaders here.
-
I really want off this Merry-go-round. My strength meter isn't registering with anything but pain and fear. I could see it in the doctors eyes that they felt sorry for me. Can you believe that none of the three will even stage me......cowards. They say it is too hard and they don't know. My BS said she will look at my noods....if they are good she will leave them...if they are bad she will yank about 27 of them. They also told me I will have expanders on the left side with all the new skin. Drains should last 3 weeks, morphine drip will be on continuasly. Well here comes major costitpaion. I am just so darm tired.....
-
((((Nancy)))) So very sorry you continue to be in such pain. I really hope you start to feel better soon now that the chemo is behind you. Maureen
-
Nancy, I think of you often. You know this merry-go-round will end, .... it will. It just doesn't seem like it right now because the process is so awful and so long. We are here for you, we are holding your cyber-hand through this. Cry when you need to, it helped me. Warm hugs, G.
-
Hi Nancy,
Thinking about you. Hoping you are feeling better and able to rest and recover some of your strength during this week before your surgery. You are truly awesome. Lots of cyber hugs coming your way. Maureen
-
Thanks friends........I'm scared to death. The hospital just called for my check in info and I almost got sick. I need strength from all my bc sisters.
-
Nancy - Thinking of you and wishing you strength for your surgery. There are many of us here to lift you up when you feel low.
-
Nancy - I am sending you STRENGTH and hugs and prayers. Damn...
You will get through this...I am so sorry you have to deal with it. Hugs, hugs, hugs...
-
(((((Nancy))))) I can only imagine how scared you are for the surgery. After the surgery, you will be a giant step closer to putting breast cancer behind you for a second time. Sending healing, caring thoughts your way.
-
Hi Friends,
I'm only 4 days away from surgery which increases my anxiety but I'm feeling comfort from your heartfelt messages. I just wish I could find one person who had the skin grafting like I am. I don't feel it has much of a chance of healing since that is the side that was radiated. The PS said he thinks it will all work out but I will be in pain. Both surgeons told me I will have quit a bit of pain following the surgery. I wish they wouldn't be so brutally honest. Thanks again for thinking of me!!!
Love,
Nancy
-
I am hoping that all will go smoothly. Before surgery is always a tough time, our imaginations can take over. I hope you can talk to others who have had grafting to get some information. Perhaps you could start a thread just for that on the reconstruction forum. Your surgery day is rapidly approaching, and each day is one day closer to being healed. You've got the whole waiting room here, ready to support you. Hugs, G.
-
Thinking of you Nancy. I'll be keeping you in my prayers. Be strong, you can beat this!
-
Nancy,
Best of luck. Perhaps you should have them order extra pain meds.... I do hope it goes smoothly..we will keep you in our thoughts
