As many of my friends know,that aft 2 reccurance of ibc the radio therapiest adviced to go home n give ur mom quality tym,aft mastactomy the surgery option closes.NOW My MOM is sitting out side the ibc clinic of MDA to talk to his onco.What r the imp Questions she should ask??????? PLZ adv as my mind got frozen right nw..............................

What are you mom symptoms. I chose the bilateral mastectomy to reduce rish of reoccurance.
?? Do they think it has spread, stage IV or IIIb not past lymphe nodes or are you that far yet. NJ

gone through chemos,surgery n rads it recurred twice,now except the onco the two other think to take her back home,n let her complete unfinished matters.What should we ask the onco,Right now?

You might want to get a 2nd or 3rd opinion at another hospital to see if other oncologists are in agreement with your onc prognosis. Also inquire about investigational studies that are going on and if they might be beneficial for mom might benefit. Contact major cancer treatment centers to see what they have to offer. You may also want to investigate hospice care programs.
