True - I paint. The city where I live is famous for barbecue. Every so often they get lifesize fiberglass pigs that you can purchase and paint. They are displayed throughout the city (great for tourism). The year after I was finished with all my treatments, I painted one. I'm involved with Girl Scouts so I painted a Girl Snout. She earned pig related badges (Sweating with the Piggies, Beautify your Sty, etc). One was the bc badge: the pink ribbon with a litte pig curly tail on the end. It was called "Sows Unite Now." She's displayed at our girl scout council now. Painting her was my mental health therapy and the best painting I have ever done. My family and especially my mother helped me come up with badge ideas. Mom died the summer my pig was displayed in the city. Girl Snout has so much meaning to me, not only therapy for me but she was the last great thing my mother and I did together.
Oh my, thanks for listening!
