bilat Diep? How exciting! Will love to hear how it goes!
I just got my date for my implant exchange surgery (4/22) and am nervous/excited as well!
-
Traci, I voted. Good luck.
Interestingly, Verene and I have been following similar paths for the past year and I too am starting reconstruction in March. I will be getting my expanders on March 16th. A dinner in late March would be great.
Enjoy the SNOW!
-
I voted!!!! Things seem really quiet over here on da island..... guess we are busy and carrying on! It's been awhile since I have visited (thread) and nice to see so many new faces!
-
OK, Dates! Those of you looking forward to another dinner date, here are some options.
March 7
March 9
March 16
March 18
March 21
March 23
March 25
Let me know what works.
And thank you for all those who have voted! Voting is open until March 2nd. Video #3
Go to http://www.veritymom.com/cartwheel-for-a-cause/ and VOTE!

I am free the 7th & 25th. Maybe the 21st (depending on how I am feeling after surgery).
Hope we all can find a date to meet in March. Love our dinners!!!!
-
Glad I popped in this morning ...
Tracy, loved the video (voted).
Dinner .... like the 25th (Friday), wouldn't mind hanging out longer on a Friday night instead of having to dash for the ferry !!!
-
First -- I finished my herceptin drips. One long year and I'm done. Second -- I was deported on Friday. No more foreign objects protruding from my upper body. Yaaaaayyyy! And Verene, I am so jealous! I think I may go for it next year. I wanted to wait until I was completely done with everything and am now looking forward to the rebuild.
Friday March 25 works for me ...
-
Yay Frosty!!!! I got mine out on the 4th of Feb and like you i was glad to have it out of my body too! I asked if i could take it home with me and they let me. I don't know why i wanted it.
I would love to meet again for dinner. I work on Friday nights, but if i know in advance i could take the night off. I have Monday nights off, so anyone of those is good for me. Fridays are fine too, just need to know a week before i go. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again and if we go at the end of March maybe i will have enough hair, so i won't have to wear my wig. Can't wait for that day. Hope everyone is staying warm!

Yeah Frosty and Pam! How exciting. My port comes out on Wednesday with my surgery. SOOO EXCITED!!
I am pretty sure that I will be able to make the 25th work and possibly the 21st. We will see how my recovery is going. Looking forward to catching up with everyone.

Hi Ladies-Well it looks like we are going to get a Friday night dinner! It looks like March 25th will work for many. We generally go to Red Robin on Pier 55. Do we want to try somewhere else since we actually get a Friday evening? Let me know your thoughts.
Carol-thanks for voting! Only a couple more days and we will know if we won or not! Fingers crossed.

A Friday night sounds great! We may need to actually make reservations! I will actually be up in Seattle that day (for my son's regional robotics competition of all things!) so this works out great!
-
Friday night the 25th sounds great. My son and husband are going to Mt Hood that day and I am excited to have something to do. I am up for going to a different place as it is a Friday night. I don't have any recommendations at this time but I would be happy to help come up with an idea.
-
Shoot.
I just realized we are in Seattle the weekend BEFORE. We'll be in Portland on the 25th. I will have to catch you ladies next time then.
-
Dang I was really looking forward to meeting all of you great women but Friday the 25th is the day of my last chemo treatment and it takes everything out of me as I am sure you all know. Hopefully I can join you all next time.
-
Dbug -- congrats on your last treatment! We will toast your completion.
-
Look at your hair frosty!! woohoo!
-
Congrads tkone on your teams win! Do you have any advice or ideas you could share to help my mom and I raise funds for the 3day? I m very excited and nervous at the same time, it's quite a bit if money to pull together but I have to do it! I just have to.
-
Thank you frosty1, I can't wait to be done with this leg of my battle. Then it's surgery and rads and training for the walk. You women are such an inspiration to me!
-
All,like Dbug79 said, we got second place on our video earning us 1000.00 towards the Susan G. Komen 3 day walk. Thank you soooo much for your help and support in voting! Dbug-I will send you a PM. Is it just you and your mom or are you part of a team?
-
It's my mom and my mom in law, its just the 3 of us so far. The team is called keep Em bouncin
I would love to hear any ideas you may have!
-
DId we figure out a location for next Friday's get together?
-
I woud ike to come as well if I can.
-
Hello crazy sexy C in Seattle friends! I have not been on here in so long! It sounds like everyone is doing well, and have a few new faces! Dbug - last chemo on the 25th - great news. Vmarie - sounds like your surgery went well!
I am doing fine, but sad to say that I won't be in town on the 25th. I know you will have a great time. I agree with Carol that Friday night is great as I assume many of us are busier M-F. Have fun!
-
Okay, feeling like a big "schmuck" as I neglected to convey to the hubby of the 25th get together. I've overbooked myself and although a night with y'all is always a "hoot", I feel in my heart that I should decline this time and fulfill my obligation with hubby.. Sorry, as I was one of the first to say the 25th was a good date ... My bad indeed. I look forward to hearing how everyone is doing, and hope Verene is there with the new girls !!!!!
-
Carol et al-well if you are feeling like you overbooked on the 25th, I would like to join your club. My daughter tried out for the talent show at school and made it! This is great of course, but the actual talent show is the evening of the 25th. Not that this is all about me......because it isn't, but I won't be able to be there on the 25th either. We can either reschedule when more people can make it or the ladies that can make it on the 25th can go ahead and party it up!
Let me know what you would like to do.

Can we move one week forward? No longer looking like we have a quorum.
-
I am open for moving it, either ahead or behind. The only day I can't make it is Monday the 21st. But, if that works for everyone else, I can just hook up next time.

-
I am fine with moving it. The following week, however, is Spring Break and I will be out of town the th 6th-9th. My schedule is fairly flexible with the exception of Wednesday evenings.
I am also 2 days out of my Expander surgery. Feeling fairly good though uncomfortable and already tired of sleeping on my back. It was outpatient surgery but when I got home (Wednesday at 4pm) I went to bed (didn't sleep much) and finally really got out of bed Friday around 10am. I was surprised how wiped out I was. Still easier than those of you with DIEPs and such.
-
Lorrie-i was just getting ready to email you and see how you were doing. Glad to hear it went well. Take it easy and hopefully we will be seeing one another soon.

Moving a week is fine ... week of March 28 is good, except for Friday April 1 (that is the start of Bellevue's spring break). April 5 and beyond I'm good ...
