potato

Options

Years ago I read this book called potatoes not prozac.... the premise is you eat a small skin on potato every night before bed.

Well this week I found a new type of potato in a steamer bag that cooks in 10 minutes, so I gave it a try. It may have actually worked a little bit. During an INSANELY stressful week,I stayed cheerful.

Just a thought. Really I am not spamming for the potato industry.

Did you smother it in sour cream, bacon bits, butter and green onion?

    VERY interesting......

I have to admit, I got a chuckle out of this one.  But hey if it works, awesome!

Right now if I can't, I drink hot cocoa.  Seems to be workingCool NJ

I think the theory is that something in the skin is a natural anti depressant. Actually the steamer spuds had less calories than I would expect. (The are small, a little bigger than fingerlings)

For all I know it could be a placebo effect.

For the record I put a little shredded parmesan on.

    I am a parmasean addict.

    yep

Again I am not saying this is a magic cure for anything...but I had a decent week when I would have really expected to be at my wit's end.

I just make my baked potatoes in the microwave. Depending on the size and how many cook for 5-8+ minutes till they are still a bit firm. Remove from microwave & wrap in tin foil and let sit for 2 minutes.

Boil 'em Mash 'em Stick 'em in a stew
